As you girls know lately I've really been loving Salma Hayek's new line. I find not only the skin care products to be really effective (I'll be reviewing a lot more this week) but her makeup line is so great. The eyeshadows are so pigmented, rich, with no creasing throughout the day and her lipsticks (reviewing Thursday) and blushes are such high quality, you'd easily think these would cost way more. As I've mentioned to you before, she really put a lot of time into this not only because she believed every woman should be able to afford quality beauty products but also, because these products were an ode to her abuela (grandmother.) As you girls know, my abuela shaped my whole beauty obsession, I've mentioned her so many times on this site. But not only did abuela shape my beauty obsession, (even when she was in the hospital, she would demand someone comb her long gorgeous black hair. ) she shaped the fact that in life, giving is way more important than receiving. You can probably credit her for all the giveaways we have on this site. She died five months ago, and my heart still yearns for her. I was too young before i was able to meet any of my grandmothers, but the person who inspired me the most would be my only female cousin Hazel.
she was an inspiration to me growing up, she always taught me how to dress and the importance of self confidence even when you didn't feel like it. also she taught me family value and also how giving is so much more important than receiving.
i will be forever grateful for my cousin! even though she lives thousands of miles away.

i would love to win! My grandmother is actually a great inspiration to me as well. She came to this country from Ecuador with just the clothes in her bag. We didn't have much growing up but because of the sacrifices she made my children are very fortunate to have the life they do.
There are many who inspire me. One is my mami. She has inspired me to be the best mom I could be. I only hope I can be half as great a mom she has been to me.

Both of my grandmothers have been an inspiration to me. My maternal grandmother is still alive. She has always been outspoken and strong willed, yet always a lady. My paternal grandmother was always quiet and reserved; a very gentle and gracious lady. I have learned from them how to be a modern woman and still be a lady.

H! I tweeted about the giveaway but I also wanted to comment. My grandmother shaped my beauty routine too. She conditioned her hair once a month and did a egg white face mask every Saturday. I miss her dearly and am so thankful she taught me to take care of myself. :-)

The person who inspired me the most is my husband (i'll never tell him that haha) but honestly I married him 2 years after college and went straight from my parents house to living with him, so he really helped me grow up and grow into the woman and mom I am today. Even though I married him at 24, I never lived on my own so he helped me realize that the world is not as naive as I am, some girls may hate this and I did at first but I have really learned a lot from him and he is the sweetest man and totally keeps me grounded :)

A person that inspired me through out my life was my daughter, honestly. After coming here from Santo Domingo, she helped us all ge through the tough times, I learned to write and speak English. My daughter taught me how to use a computer. For a woman my age to learn to use a computer is a big deal. She's always been there for me, and the family. She helped me when my significant other passed away, to pull myself together & go to the funeral. We have an amazing mother and daughter friendship, bond that will always be there. Gracias.
To be fair, it's a combination of people that inspired me more than one person. I was lucky to have a great mother and grandmother that always were there when I needed them the most!

My parents are both huge inspirations to me--my mom is a believer in healthy eating and living and she passed that passion down to me. She always stands up for what she believes in, another great quality I strive to achieve as well. My dad is a hard hard worker and his discipline is a quality I look up to. They took me and my siblings out of a country constantly in wars to give us a better future. I am forever grateful to them for that. Love my mami and papi!

My Abuela (Granny) was an incredible lady. She was so much fun and was always on top of things. She loved to entertain and I miss her and my abuelo (Grampy) very much. I would have loved for them to know my children. But they have left an ever lasting mark in all of their grandchildren.

The person that inspired me is a writer "Umera Ahmad" her novels give the message to stay strong in every situation and to have faith in God and believe that when you are asking God to help you eventually everything will become fine just try to have a spiritual connection with him, I have changed a lot after reading her novels I try to become a better person and I am going through a really bad phase of my life at this moment but I believe God will show his blessings one day and everything will turn around and positive things will happen in my life.She has inspired me a lot

The person that has inspired me the most is my dad! I may be partial but he is the best person I have ever known, but there are plenty of others who feel the same. He always remains positive, even though he has faced a lot of difficulties in his life. He treats everyone the same and always sees the best in people. He has always inspired me to reach all of my goals and never let anyone get in my way. I try everyday to be more like him!

I'm LOVING this line. I've only tried the skin care items so far. WOuld love to try the hair and makeup products.
A person that inspired and still inspires me is my mother. She left a middle class lifestyle in Puerto Rico and moved my brother and I to upstate NY where we had to start all over and we were definitely not middle class in 1991 when we came to Upstate NY. We struggled but we managed to get it together and make a good life here in the states. The fact that she didn't mind altering her entire world for us is something I cannot repay. And if it wasn't for the move here I know that I would not have been as successful. Thank you mom!
A person who have inspired me is my motherinlaw. She always have this positive attitude on and always laughing. I find the way of her teaching me things are so inspiring! It makes me want to get out there and strive for my dreams, be a better mother to my son, do more than I should. More is better sometimes in my book. :) So yes, my motherinlaw has inspired me to think beyond and do things for yourself no matter what situation comes through.
The person who inspired me was my grandmother as well (may she rest in peace). My grandmother raised nine children including taking in her nieces and nephews and showered everyone with so much love. She did it with such grace, beauty, and heart. She passed all that love down to her grandchildren as well. Her love of family is truly inspiring.
