Give Me Mor! Mor Marshmallow Body Butter

On one of my recent trips to TJ Maxx, I spotted a cute little pink jar. It was a body butter by a company called Mor. The scent was called Marshmallow. Since I’d never tried a marshmallow scent, I knew I had to grab this, and honeys, I am so happy I did. (I was so happy the next day I picked up the Marshmallow Body Souffle, and Mor’s Pistachio Body cream.) The company is Australian based and was started in 2001. Anyway, before I go to bed, I always like to lather my skin with a subtle scented and very moisturizing lotion. I try to change the scent every day. Mr. DE always remarks when he likes the scent, and if he doesn’t say anything, I know not to wear it to bed again.
We are loving this stuff. First of all this contains, avocado oil, shea & cocoa butter, rosehip seed oil, retinol, and some other super highly nourishing ingredients. It leaves my skin feeling so super moisturized, and it soaks right in. I absolutely adore the scent a delicious blend of vanilla and jasmine. Hubby noticed it right away and loved it. He told me that he wants me to wear it to bed more often. In other words, he wants Mor!

De Loves Korres Guava Body Butter.

I’m such a girly girl when it comes to scents. I have to leave my house smelling like something, lol. My latest scent is Korres Guava Body Butter. This will be a keeper for a long time for a few reasons. This is such a delicious feminime fruity scent but not overpowering at all. I hate when people walk by me smelling like they were picking pineapples or watermelons all day, it gets on my nerves. This thick lotion is not scented like that. The scent is is so clean, fresh, with a hint of fruit and it moisturizes so well. My skin is so hydrated after using this. A great thing about Korres, is that none of their products contain Parabens, Sulfates, Synthetic Dyes, Petrochemicals ,Phthalates, GMOs and Triclosan.

Right after I shower, I apply this all over my body, and when I’m taking the subway to work, people ask me all day, “What are you wearing, it smells divine.” I never tell though. I’ll only tell my readers.

Grandma Rec: Alba Hawaian Spa Papaya Mango Body Cream

As you guys know my Grandma was in intensive care during this holiday season but I’m happy to say she’s on her way to a speedy recovery. The Doctors are amazed! I love that woman! She’s such a fighter, just like my mommy! Thanks for all your prayers and support. It really helped! Grandma loves you!
Anyway, I’ve been staying by her side, and she’s been lying on a hospital bed for over two weeks now so I’ve been giving her plenty of massages to keep her circulation in check. There is only one lotion that Grandma let’s me massage her with and that’s the Alba Hawaian Spa Papaya Mango Body Cream.

I gave it to her about two months ago, and when she woke up from being sedated, she specifically asked for it. This has a delicious aroma of pure and natural fruit. Abuela told me that once I started rubbing this on her, the scent seemed to lift her mood. It brought back memories of when she would pick the mango trees from behind her farm in the Dominican Repubic. Today’s her birthday! She’s 86 years young. I’m making her a sweet Dominican pineapple cake. Yum!


I can’t emphasize this enough to you, please cherish and love your family. I come from a crazy and huge Dominican family. And although we all fight, and have disagreements, in the end, we all love each other deeply and would do anything for each other.

Naturally Silky Skin With Pacifica Body Butter

Last week, I was picking up lunch at Whole foods, when I began perusing the beauty aisles. I noticed a shelf filled with brightly covered containers of Body butters from this company called Pacifica. There were samples available so I opened the first one which was called “Hawaiian Ruby Guava”, and could not believe how glorious this product smelled. The fruity aroma of guava filled my nose, but there was also a light scent of coconut infused in this as well-the combination is magnificent.It reminded me of my trips to Dominican beaches. I was hooked. I took some of the butter and applied some on my hands. The cream was very rich and thick but not greasy at all, just incredibly moisturizing and my hands felt like silk. When I turned the packaging around, I noticed that this product was vegan and paraben free, and most of the ingredients were organic. It was a match made in heaven. I then started opening up the other containers that were available to be sampled, from Gardenia (I picked that one up for mommie. She was a huge Chanel Gardenia lover back in the day) to a delicious Brazilian Mango Grapefruit. Honestly, I would have probably bought all of them, if I wasn’t saving money for next week’s trip to Chicago. I’ve been using my Hawaiian Ruby Guava right after the shower and not only does this cream leave my skin incredibly smooth and hydrated, but the fantastic scent lingers on me throughout the day. It’s not overpowering just deliciously fruity and two of my colleagues asked what perfume I was wearing because they had to have it. They couldn’t believe when I told them it was body butter. This is a must have and I mean it.
