Kim Kardashian SAG Awards Makeup And Beauty Details

Hey loves, a lot of you emailed me asking for Kim Kardashian's makeup  look at the SAG Awards. Well I contacted Kim's amazing makeup artist Joyce Bonelli, and she sent them right over.  If you haven't met Joyce yet, you can read about her here. Didn't Kim look gorgeous! Wooh, she took my breath away. She reminded me of a Grecian Goddess. A great thing about this look was that Joyce used  mostly L'oreal Products. I keep telling you beauty doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg. Here are Kim Kardashian's SAG Awards beauty details:

STEP 1: KIM’S SKIN
On Kim I apply PerfectSkin, LaMer lifting serum, & PerfectSkin eye cream. To condition lips I used Clarks Botanicals Ultra Rich Lip Balm

STEP 2: PRIMER
I used Loreal Paris' Studio Secrets Professional Color Correcting Primer for Medium/Deep Skin to prep Kim's skin. *this is a FAB primer because it is an anti-dull skin primer so it gives the skin a bit of an extra glow to start with!
STEP 3: FOUNDATION
For this look I used Loreal Paris' Visible Lift Serum Absolute Advanced Age-Reversing Makeup. *This is a new Loreal Product and I loved it. *Remember girls, you don't have to be old to use age-reversing makeup, especially for those of you who apply makeup daily, its good to start the anti-aging young to prevent later on in life . ;)
STEP 4: UNDER EYES
I use Loreal Paris' True Match Concealer.
STEP 5: SET
Finally I set Kim’s entire face with Loreal Paris' Translucide Naturally Lumious Loose Powder. *REMEMBER don’t use too much of this, just a little touch is all you need.
STEP 6: BROWS
I filled them in with Loreal Paris' Brow Stylist Professional in Light Brown. *I love this little guy because  it comes with all 3 in one, a brow brush, tweezers, and the pencil.
STEP 7: KIM’S EYES
We wanted to keep Kim's eyes natural and fresh for this look.  I used Loreal Paris' HiP Studio Secrets Professional Crystal Shadow Duos Eyeshadow in Romantic however I only used the peach tone in the duo, not the silver.  In the eye lid crease I applied Loreal Paris' HiP Studio Secrets Professional Crystal Shadow Duos Eyeshadow in Precious, however I only used the darker shade in the duo pack. I used the lighter color from the Precious duo pack in the inside tear duct area. Along the eyelid, close to the lash line I used Loreal Paris' HiP Studio Secrets Professional Color Rich Cream Crayon Eyeliner in Perfectionist (Black) to draw on a thick, slightly winged out line. Because Kim already has GORGEOUS to die eyelashes, we wanted to go natural with just a few coats of Loreal Volumous Mascara in Carbon Black to make them pop. Remember, to finish off the eye, I curl her lashes using Shu Uemura eyelash curler.
STEP 8: KIM’S CHEEKS
On the hollow of her cheeks I applied Loreal Paris' Glam Bronze Bronzing Powder in Enchanting Sunrise. To give Kim a warm touch of color I applied True Match Naturale Blush in Soft Rose  to the apples of her cheeks.
STEP 9: KIM’S LUMINOUS GLOW
Right above the apples of Kim’s cheeks I applied Naked Pigment by M.A.C. to highlight her cheekbones.
STEP 10: KIM’S LIPS
To define Kim’s gorgeous lip shape I used Loreal Paris' Crayon Petite Automatic Lip Liner in Nudes. Loreal Paris' Colour Riche Anti-Aging Serum in Peach Parfait is what I used to fill in the lip. I finished her lips with FUSION BEAUTY’s Lip Fusion in clear to give a high gloss coat.

XO,
Joyce Bonelli

 Thanks Joyce!

We love this look.

Hugs,

Milly

Beauty Blender Sponge

 Photobucket

Sad to say but the streets of Manhattan are full of beautiful women who just don’t seem to know how to apply makeup. I’m no expert, but one thing I do know is that when you wear foundation, it should look seamless. I shouldn’t be able to see patches of different colored makeup or streaks and lines all over your face. The key to great makeup application is blending, and I’m happy to say that a product that I recently tried and will help with the foundation blending process (IMO it’s best  with use cream foundations) is the beauty blender. This egg-shaped sponge has been all the rave lately. Kim Kardashian’s makeup artist Mario Dedanovic  (who is a great makeup artist) uses it when he applies her makeup and I’ve been using it as well when I use my cream foundation. The egg shape of the product really makes hard to reach areas a breeze to reach. All you have to do is moisten the sponge, and apply your makeup  as normal and you’ll notice  a difference in how blended, and uniform your makeup looks.

Have you tried the beauty blender? Here's Mario using it on Kim.

What were your thoughts?

Hugs,

DE

FYI:THIS BEAUTY BLENDER WAS PROVIDED AS A SAMPLE BY THE PR COMPANY. BELIEVE ME, THAT IN NO WAY HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH MY REVIEW.

Bebe Kim Kardashian Line- Backstage Beauty & Show Review!

Photobucket Pic I took of Kim Backstage

If you follow my tweets, you know one of my favorite fashion week shows was the Kim Kardashian Bebe line. Everything seemed to work so beautifully together from the hair, the makeup to the collection itself. I was pleased throughout the whole thing.
So we’ll begin with the backstage preview. We’ll start with my favorite subject- hair. The head hair designer was Whitney Blischke. Whitney said the idea behind the hair was "effortless glamour." Kim's inspiration was this Elle Magazine cover and she wanted her models to have the same look-a soft natural wave.

Photobucket
To create the look Whitney used Tigi Spritz & Shine from the catwalk collection and then set the hair with a 1 inch curling iron.
Photobucket
When curling, she wasn’t looking for a large amount of volume, she wanted more of a collapsed soft wave-which gave the hair a softer look. After the curl set, she would use her fingers to  comb the hair out to achieve natural looking waves, and set the roots with Tigi’s Dry shampoo and on the rest of the hair using Tigi Your Highness Shine Spray. Whitney says a huge trend is darker roots and lighter hair. By using a matte product on the roots (the Tigi dry shampoo) and the shining spray on the rest of your hair, you will be able to duplicate that look.

The makeup was gorgeous. It was reminiscent of the way Kim used to wear her makeup when she first came on the scene around three years ago. I asked Kim about that when I interviewed her, and I’ll let you know what she said after the run down.
Photobucket
The head makeup artist Nathalie Bechard told us that the inspiration behind the look was the young working girl who works very hard during the day, but parties hard at night. The eyes were the main focus and Nathalie wanted to give the models a gorgeous shimmery smokey eye.The palette that was used to create the look was the Sephora Collection Colorful Artist Palette.
On the lid she used a pewter gray shimmer  and then used deep matte gray on the outer edge of the eye. Underneath the eye, they used Makeup Forever Aqua Liner in Star Black The mascara used was Makeup For ever Smokey Lash Mascara in Black and Makeup Forever Individual False lashes.

Photobucket

The skin was kept satiny to complement the smoky eye.  Products used were the Makeup Forever Hd Elixir,  Diorskin Nude Natural Glow Hydrating Makeup spf 10, Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Radiant Touch and Fresh Twilight Facefresh Glow. The lips were kept a simple nude. The products used were Sephora Rouge Cream Lipstick in MMMM, which is a gorgeous muted pink and Sephora Nano Lip liner in Candid Candy.
As I told you before, when I looked at the models, I was reminded of the makeup that Kim used to wear when she was first introduced to the world. A smokey eye and nude lip. I spoke to Kim about it before the show and she said that although we don’t usually see her with that style of makeup anymore because her makeup artist Mario usually always does her makeup, when she applies makeup on herself, she still likes to do a dark smoky eye, and a nude lip. (FYI, Kim in person is one of the most beautiful women I have ever laid eyes on, and super sweet, and her body makes me want to do squats every single morning. )

Anyway about the show. I loved loved loved it! I've already got my eyes and my cash set on 3 gorgeous outfits.

When Kim arrived backstage, I was in awe of her outfit.
A gorgeous gray sweatsuit with a sexy black leather corset added in the middle. How different! Who would have thought pairing those two together would have worked so well. It accentuated all of her best assets. I spoke to Kim about her line and asked her why had she decided to do it. She told me “ I always liked Bebe clothes and I always wanted to create a clothing line but I wanted to create something my fans could afford. My sisters and I all have different body types, so we created something that would accentuate all different types of figures.”
After looking at what she was wearing, I was excited as to what the show would bring and I wasn’t disappointed. There were a lot of grays and blacks in the collection with a few pops of color. The clothes are definitely designed for the confident, sexy, and feminine woman who loves her body in general (that’s me!). (Everything seemed to be pretty figure hugging).I haven't really been shopping at Bebe for a while, but now that this collection is in, I’m coming back. There was this stunning black stretch dress, that really caught my eye. As the model strutted down the runway, I won’t lie, I was already picturing myself in it and it was a great vision. Photobucket

This royal blue jersey dress with the double layered leather vest has my name on it.

All in all, I’m very impressed with the collection and can't wait to see a few of the pieces on me- lol.

Have a great weekend!

De's Loving Kim Kardashian's Perfume

I must admit that I do love Kim Kardashian.  Keeping up with the Kardashians is one of the few shows that I  look forward to watching every week. I love seeing how strong her family is and how they stand by  each other no matter what. It reminds me of my own family. I’ve also met Kim before, and she was just a very sweet and humble person.

DE and Kim

So honestly, I was a little nervous to try her fragrance. If it stunk, I would have been highly disappointed. But after testing it out, I’m super pleased and think this will be my new signature scent. The notes are listed as Mandarin, Honey Suckle, Orange Blossom, Pink Jasmine, Tuberose, Sensual Spice, Lush Gardenia, Jacaranda Wood, Tonka Bean, Vanilla Orchid, Sexy Musk, Creamy Sandalwood. But the two notes that truly stands out are the gardenia, and tuberose.  I’ve mentioned before that gardenia is one of my favorite scents but when tuberose is added, it’s a seductive  and feminine combination (Mr. DE is loving this!). The scent does kind of remind me of Michael Kors, but Kim’s fragrance  is much more toned down. (I've always thought Michael Kors scent was way too strong.)  The chemistry between this fragrance and myself is magnetic, and the staying power is is something to brag about. One spritz on my neck lasted the whole day and I received more than my fair share of compliments.

OK Mag, DE, Kim Kardashian, and her must have beauty item.

Photobucket I can never take the pic right when I'm holding the camera, hence why you only see half of my face.

Ok magazine invited BEAUTYLOGICBLOG to a fab party last night at the meatpacking district in Manhattan. It was so much fun, with great drinks and a fab crowd. Anyway, the party was introducing Kim Kardashian as their newest contributing beauty editor. When I saw her, I was stunned. The woman is flawless. She was so incredibly gracious and sweet and oh so flawless (i said that already, sorry)

I asked her what exactly was the beauty product that she could never be without. She said Smashbox’s BRONZE LIGHT MATTE BRONZER has to always be with her.
Photobucket
I’ve never tried it before, but I’ve tried many other products by Smashbox, and do love them. I’m actually rocking their newest “Crowned” gloss as we speak. Such a gorgeous nude gloss . I’m running to Sephora today to grab that bronzer.

Have you tried Smashbox’s Matte bronzer?

BeautyLogic Talks to Makeup Artist Extraordinare Troy Jensen

Photobucket (Make-up and photograph done by Troy Jensen)

I remember the first time I laid eyes on Kim Kardashian. All I remember thinking was wow, she’s gorgeous! Have you guys seen her new look? She’s a blonde now, and still looks smoking hot (not many people can pull that off!) Anyway, I recently got a chance to interview one of Kim's most treasured make-up artist, Troy Jensen. The man is a genius! Not only has he worked with Kim, but he’s also worked on beauties like JLO, Rachel Bilson, and gasp, Angelina Jolie! We asked Troy a few questions and he was very gracious about answering us. Thanks Troy. Your work is amazing!

1) How did you get started in the business?
I started as an artist drawing fashion magazine covers and my favorite actresses. Through my drawings I was told that i had an eye for beauty and was constantly told that I would be a great makeup artist. So when i got the opportunity to try it I was hooked. It brought my art and my love for beauty and women together.

2) How did you begin working with Kim Kardashian?
We were introduced by the Pussycat Dolls creater Robin Anton. Kim was looking for someone to shoot her Calendar. I though it would be a lot of fun. I did her hair, makeup, and photographed her. I created a 1960's bond girl look for her in the shoot. We bonded as friends and I have been photographing her, creating looks for magazines, and red carpet events ever since.

3) Are there any beauty products that Kim loves to use constantly?
Well, we are both obsessed Q-tips. We both use them before applying makeup to remove any left over makeup around the eyes. I then use them during application to apply highlighter to strategic areas in the face like, the high cheek bone, down the center of the nose, above the bow of the lip, and in the corner of the eye near the tear duct. I also use them to blend eyeliner and eyeshadows. I use Q-tips to help me guide the lash strip close to the eye line. I always put a few into Kim touch up bag to help touch up lip gloss around the mouth, and under the eyes.

4) Is there a particular look that you did for Kim that you love the most.
Above pic

5)What are some of the products you used to create her look?

For Kim's lips I used

Nars Jilted Love Lip Liner
(But he also suggests choosing a shade that matches your skin tone for an opaque look)

Lipstick
Nars Belle Du Jour Lipstick

Lip Gloss
Chihuahua
(Matching the same creamy tone as the lipstick above with an amazing shiny coverage)

5) What are must haves in your make-up collection?
I really love my Benefit cream eye shadows. They are so easy to use and they don't crease like most cream eyeshadows can. I also love my shu eumera eyelash curler.

6) What is the best piece of beauty advice you can give us?

Every beauty look starts with two things, well groomed brows and beautiful skin. These are two things I feel all women should give a little more attention too and are area's that you may need to seek professional advice. An esthetician skilled in brow shaping and skin care. So many times i see women using the wrong moisturizer and eye cream. A skin care specialist can design a skin care program for them and shape there brows to look best with there features.

7) What do you think are some mistakes women make when putting on their makeup?
I get a lot of comments about foundation, whether it’s choosing the right foundation or how to apply it. First mix a touch of your foundation or moisturizer together in the palm of your hand. Blend the makeup into the palms of your hands then apply to the neck working upwards to the jawline, the cheeks, across the nose, and forehead.
Then rinse and dry your hands and blend well with a Q-tip. Once you have an all-over blended glow, apply a cream concealer to any area's that need a little more coverage, which are usually around the eyes, any redness in the skin or and blemishes. I like to apply concealer with one end of a Q-tip, and use the other to blend in. Lastly, I set the look with a loose powder.

Thanks Troy,

Hugs,

DE
