De's Loving The Crazy Sticks Perfume Sticks.

Photobucket

I have way too many scents. However, I hate putting them in my bag because they always end up leaking, and my bag always ends up smelling like my latest perfume addiction. Recently I tried these cute perfume sticks, and not only am I loving the scent, but I’m also loving the convenience of perfume on a stick. They’re called “The Crazy Sticks,” and the scent I tried was called “Homage A Gabrielle.” First of all, this smells so delish. I usually don’t like vanilla scents too much, but this one is just fabulous. It’s very light, with notes of peony and cedar making this a splendid mix of pure deliciousness. (Did that rhyme? Almost) The fragrance is just so clean, and luxurious, and I’ve gotten so many compliments on it. I also love that this product contains no alcohol, no parabens, and no coloring agents. Mommy loves their Pompon Gardenia in a stick, reminds her of Chanel's!

The Importance of Family and Friends 2

PhotobucketHalle Berry and her mom.

I’m very fortunate. No I’m not a gazillionare, not even close, but remember money does not bring anyone happiness. I also have amazing family and friends and an amazing man who still after five years, makes me tingle. Two weekends ago I went through a period of down time. Don’t we all go through those, where we ask ourselves if our dreams “can” come true. If maybe we’re just thinking too big and maybe we should just settle with out life as is. This is where the importance of friends and family come along. Because when I had those moments of self-doubt, my mother quickly woke me up. She admonished me for being down, and told me to “get it together.” She told me to make sure that I didn’t even think about settling. She told me as long as she was alive, she would make sure that I followed my dream. Then my friends came, and like my own personal cheerleading squad, told me all the reasons that they believed in me, and my goal and then Mr. DE chimed in. He encouraged my dream too.

After those pep talks, I felt back to the old me, and I felt victorious! My friends and family encouraged my dream, believed in my dream, and brought me back to reality. Family & friends are so important. They are everything. Sometimes when we forget our potential, they remind us of it. If you’re going through a period of loneliness or of downtime, please make sure to reach out to a family member or friend. I’m sure they’ll remind you of your abilities. But if you don’t have anyone, then by all means, make sure to e-mail me. Although I get a lot of e-mails, I make sure to spend three hours a day answering all of them. Mommy always says, it’s rude not to answer your mail.

Crown Yourself-You're a Queen

Photobucket

In life, I try to have everything positive around me. When a product has a cute and positive name, I'm a sucker for picking it up. I own a 2 dollar purplish red polish (ugliest color you've ever seen) called "You're a winner." I'd never wear it, but i love the name. So when I heard about Smashboxes Crowned, I had to have it. Hello, I'm a Queen!

I'm so happy I picked it up though. In my video "6 mistakes you should avoid in a relationship," I got so many e-mails asking what shade of gloss. I was wearing. It's Crowned baby! The name alone makes me feel like royalty. The color is such a gorgeous and rich peachy nude. It’s stunning on tan skin, and really makes my lips look juicy and sexy (although I don’t have thin lips, I do like to always make them look bigger.) The consistency is not thick or tacky at all, it applies like a dream and the best thing is, it’s hair approved, meaning that when the wind blows, my hair doesn't stick to my lips. I am so loving this gloss.

Have you tried crowned by Smashbox?

Are you loving the shade.

BEAUTYLOGIC JUST LOVES ARLENIS!

Arlenis with Miss Dominican Republic

Congratulations to Lancome spokesmodel Arlenis Sosa who was honored at The Latin Pride National Awards last Thursday night in Boston. These awards recognize the most successful representatives of the Latino community in sports, film, music, education—and of course, fashion.

The annual celebration takes place in the middle of Hispanic Heritage Month to commemorate and celebrate the positive contributions of the Latino community to the American culture. As many of you know, my dear Arlenis hails from my country of origin. Ah, I was so excited to meet her. If you don't remember my post, click here As I said before, this woman's spirit captivated me. When I met her, I felt as if we were old friends.

Arlenis wore a gown by fellow Dominican Oscar de la Renta, a designer who has supported her every season that she’s been a model. Arlenis told Lancome that she was quite nervous, especially when she looked out at the audience filled with Latinos, and was overcome with pride and gratitude.

Arlenis just shot a major Lancôme makeup ad. She’s also hard at work on a special charity project to benefit the underprivileged in her country. Stay tuned for details! Arlenis is currently in Europe taking part in the Spring 2010 collections.

6 Mistakes You May Want to Avoid While in a Relationship

I made a new video. I know it’s not one of the selections I gave you, but I thought it would be a fun one. It’s called "Six mistakes you should try to avoid while in a relationship." I did this video for two reasons. In the past two weeks, three of my good friends have been broken up with, and my male cousin who was the consummate player, who claimed he only dated women that were tens and up just got engaged, and is so in love with his average looking girlfriend it’s one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen. My friends had no idea why the guys they were with broke up with them. They claim they did everything to make the relationship work Unfortunately, that sometimes may not be the solution. When I asked my cousin what made his girlfriend different from the others, he told me some very interesting reasons.
These mistakes are a few things that I saw my friends doing, and things that my cousin’s girlfriend apparently never does. He loves the fact that she’s independent. He loves the fact that her life does not revolve around him. That she’s ambitious, and confident. She’s got her own thing going. That sometimes when he calls her, she waits to call him back for a few minutes. During those few minutes, he waits for those calls eagerly. Where as my friends made things way too easy. Remember men are hunters, when something comes too easy it gets boring fast.

Hey Honeybunns,

I did a review on Amla oil on youtube. If you don't want to watch the 3.5 minute video, just know that I wasn't loving the oil,and I think i'll stick to my coconut oil. Here's my Amla Oil Youtube:

I hope you can see it. I just loaded it so it may take some time.

What do you think my next video should be?

1) Hair tonic
2) how to get arms like Michelle Obama?
3) How to blow dry your hair like a Dominican?

Please e-mail me and let me know.

Korres Primer & Winners of Profound Beauty Giveaway

Photobucket

My skin is so super sensitive, it's ridiculous. Because I'm a tan skin mama, the slightest irritation can lead to me having dark marks all over my face for MONTHS! I hate that! Anyway, I always try to use primers on my skin before foundation. They're important because they act as a barrier between your skin and makeup. One that I am adoring, is Korress Silicone Free Primer. I first heard about this because it won Sephora’s best of the best. However, I never pay attention to that. One of the reasons I started beautylogic is because I got tired of so many beauty magazines, and companies claiming that a product was fabulous, but when I got my hands on it, it usually was a dud. Well this product actually lives up to the hype. What I love about this is that most primers do contain silicone which can irritate your skin, but not this one. It’s loaded with vitamin E, jojoba oil and something called edelweiss extract (not sure what that is). What I do know is that this leaves my skin super soft, and moisturized. I haven't had any breakouts at all since using this. Not only that, but my skin looks super flawless, my makeup application is a dream, and it last all day.

I love this stuff.

Have you tried Korres' face primer?

Do you love it?

Hugs,

DE

Winners of Profound Beauty Giveaway are:
1) Cinthia Garcia
2) Ashley Wallace (she sent me pics of her daughter, holy crap, she is super cute, and gorgeous hair too)
3) Alanna
4) Nichol
5) Melissa V

Please send address or I'll have to give this to someone else.

AVOCADOS FOR BEAUTY

Photobucket

I love Avocados. They taste delish and are so healthy for you. Also, their beauty benefits both internal and external are great. Internally avocados are loaded with Essential fatty acids. These are good fats, that make your skin softer, and your hair healthy and shiny. Avocados also contains a very high amount of protein which is ESSENTIAL for hair growth. But I also love making avocado masque. They leave my skin so moisturized, and glowing. Mash up a ripe avocado, mix it with some honey, and an egg yolk. You’ll love it.

Do you love Avocados?

De's loving PROFOUND BEAUTY -ANTI FRIZZ

Photobucket

My hair is my best buddy and friend. When no one else is around, I know she'll always be. (Alright I sound a little crazy) But you girls know how much I love and take care of her. Recently I got the chance to try a new product from a company called Profound Beauty. It's their Anti-Frizz Time out Treatment. I must say I loved this. After my stylist washing my hair, I applied a dab on, and she began to blow dry. This product claims that it has something called a hydrophobic complex which is supposed to mimic something in your hair called the F Layer. Apparently coloring, and other chemicals can lead to your hair's F layer being compromised, and you need your F-layer to prevent frizz. Anyway without getting into the logistics of this, this stuff works. First off, after using this, my hair was gleaming. Here's a pic.

Photobucket

Second: The night I went out with this, it was a very humid rainy day in New York. I was going to meet my fellow bloggers at this great party. Anyway, my hair did not frizz at all. Even a few bloggers were asking me what I was using. This stuff is FANTUBULAR (this little girl said that to me yesterday and I thought it was so cute). And stay tuned, I may just be doing a giveaway for a few of these.

Have you tried this stuff?

Hugs,

DE
