Well guys it finally happened. Arlenis Sosa and I met. It was great. She was everything I expected and more. Gorgeous, Statuesque, and just super sweet.
She went out of her way to answer all of my questions. She’s so super stunning in person, with these gorgeous thick eyebrows, incredibly high cheekbones, and beautiful lips. I can’t believe how tall she is. She’s got to be at least two feet taller than me. I felt like a midget. lol On another note, she had on the hottest shoes ever! I dream of those heels. I’d like to thank Arlenis for being so wonderful and the beautiful people of Lancome for setting that up including Kerry Diamond and Patricia Reynoso who is the director of Lancome PR and is a fellow Dominicana. Her blog is fabulous as well. It’s called latintale.com
Anyway without further adieu, let’s chit chat with ARLENIS
1) How do you keep your hair so fabulous even though it’s probably gets exposed to heat and damaging products all the time?
Conditioning is so important to the health of your hair. The shampoo/conditioner I use all the time contains tea tree oil. It’s very minty and leaves my hair very clean. I try never to use hairspray because it just dries out your hair, but if I do, I wash it out. I use a great tea tree deep treatment for about 10 minutes, and then I wash it off with hot water, and then after with cold water. It leaves my hair really soft and moisturized.
2)How do you keep your skin so fab?
There’s a lot to that. I drink a lot of water. I never ever sleep with makeup on and I try to get at least eight hours of sleep. It is so important to allow the skin to take a rest. In the evening, I wash my face. I then use Lancome’s Tonique Radiance to get rid of every single trace of makeup. After that I put a hot towel on my face for a little bit then end the night by using Lancome’s Focus cream. In the morning, I use the toner again, and then use Lancome’s Bienfait Multi-Vital Glow for moisture. If I’m not shooting, I never wear makeup-well maybe just mascara and eyeliner. Best mascara as you know are the Lancome Oscillation & Lancome Definicils
3)What beauty products must be in Arlenis’s makeup bag at all times?
Hmmm.. always Lancome Bienfait Multi-Vital Glow, and my mascara and eyeliner. The expression of a woman's eyes is the most important to her face.
4) What life advice can you give us?
In life, do what you feel like you were meant to do. You can’t settle. You have to be positive all the time as well. If you want something then go 100% for it, and know that it will happen and it will.
Thanks Arlenis, We love you here.

Hi DE! I'm so glad you met Arlenis :)
I know you have been talking about her a lot and I think she is adorable and I'm so proud to be a fellow Dominicana as well and seeing her succeed!
As for Lancome...well ever since you blogged about their mascara - Oscillation - I was intrigued and went out and bought it and it was worth the money...I was amazed at the results it gave to my lashes! It looked likie I had fake lashes on..amazing product. So that would have to be my favorite :D
I love Lancomes Oscillation macara. after you reviewed it, i couldn't wait to get my hands on it. Checking out Patricia's blog now.
My favorite Lancome product is their perfume - Miracle!
Hey DE
I am so happy that you got to do this great interview!
PJD
Congrats on meeting Arlenis.....I especially love the way you highlighted how positive she was..Extremely important to believe in yourself...Yet so many of us neglect to do so...
Awww I'm really really happy for you! She seems really down to earth too, but then again you have a way of making everyone you interview seem that way :)
I love how you emphasized how important believing in yourself is...it really was what I needed today!
