Blow Up Pro Hair And Shampoo Leave Your Hair Looking Like New!
I always find myself picking up "hair volumizing products". Pin straight hair is just not my thing, so shampoos or conditioners that promise to give my hair serious vavoom are my LIFE! The problem is, many of these "volumizing products" contain sulfates, and I try to stay away from those. (They can strip your hair, as well as screw up the PH.) So when I heard about Blow Up products, and their promise to give your hair serious body without sulfates, I immediately grabbed them, and uh yeah, Milly fell in love. Click below to read my review.

5 Ways to Switch Up Your Beauty Routine For The Fall
Yesterday it was a bit chilly, and for the first time in a few months, I felt a bit cold, and had to rock a jacket. I'm so annoyed about Fall coming. I am such a Summer and Spring gal. Truthfully, I can't stand the cold. If California had subways (I can't drive!) I'd probably want to live there because of the perfect weather. When the seasons change, you change your wardrobe, well you should also change your beauty routine too, because the products you use in the summer, can make you look a hot mess in the winter. Here are some of my suggestions.
1) Fish Oils-Alright, I've told you about my love of fish oils a million times (and how I believe it may have given me a butt that resembles Kim K's), but please take me seriously. Recently, I stopped using them for a month because my local whole foods ran out, and I just forgot to get them, and I saw such a difference in my skin, and not a good difference. Remember how they helped stop my Cystic Acne. My favorite, is Barleans Mango Peach. The winter can dry out your skin big time, and this oil will help to keep it hydrated, and smooth from within. Plus it taste really good.

Run and Get the Living Proof Prime Style Extender Now-Review
Hey loves! how have you guys been? I hope great. Have you ever tried a hair product that made you so happy that you wanted to do a backflip? That's how I felt after using the new - Living Proof Prime Style Extender. It's so good, I had to feature it in the October Cosmo For Latinas. I'll admit when I first heard of this product and what it claimed to do, I was super skeptical. The product promises to maintain your hairstyle until your next shampoo. It's supposed to be formulated with a miracle molecule that totally blocks humidity, and moisture. It's supposed to repel oil and dirt, keeping your hair cleaner and style longer. Let's be real-that doesn't sound possible, especially for me since I only wash my hair twice a week. (I like my hair to maintain it's natural PH, and not remove it's natural oils.) Anyway, usually after a few days of not washing my hair, it looks greasy, and that's when I have to grab my dry shampoo, so I was super skeptical- but now, I'm a believer. Click below to read about why I am super impressed with it.
Sofia Vergara Makeup and Beauty Look Emmy Awards 2012
I'm kind of obsessed with Sofia Vergera. Her positive energy radiates through my TV screen, and I love how she doesn't take herself too seriously. I always say that's the secret to being a happy person. Like yesterday, 20 minutes before she won the Emmy, the back of her dress opened, and her derriere was exposed. She could have easily been mortified, and upset about it, but instead, she opted to laugh, and to even tweet the pic of her exposed bootay, and here's what she wrote: " Yes!!!! This happened 20 min before we won!!!! Jajajajja. I luv my life!!!!,”
Hilarious! Anyway, let's talk about how gorgeous she looked last night. Did you see her! Wowza!! Makeup artist Kayleen Mcadams (FYI, she's actress Rachel McAdams sister) created the look. Click below for the deets.

Zoe Saldana Alma Awards 2012 Beauty and Makeup Deets
You girls know, when it comes to Zoe Saldana, I'm a bit obsessed. I was crazy about her before I met her, but after meeting her at the party for Cosmo For Latinas, I truly fell in love with her. Not only is she drop dead gorgeous, but she's also incredibly cool, and warm. Let's put it like this, she came to the party with her mom, abuela (grandma), and sister, and when I was having trouble taking a pic of her and Mr. Milly she came around and showed me how to work the camera. I love that!! Anyway, Did you girls see her at the Alma Awards yesterday. She looked so magnificent. I got the exclusive deets on her makeup from friend to the blog, makeup artist extraordinare-Vera Steimberg. Click below to read about it.
Daisy Fuentes Spring 2013 Show Review & Kohls $100 Giftcard Giveaway
So last week, I headed over to the Daisy Fuentes Kohls Fashion show. Truth be told, I really didn't know too much about her line. But let me start off by saying, I love me some Daisy Fuentes. I really don't think she gets enough credit. Before JLO, Daisy was already hosting MTV House of Style. She was def one of the first Latinas to hit mainstream so I"m a huge fan. And when I saw her before her show, HOT DAMN, that woman is still flawless. Not a wrinkle on her gorgeous face. And her hair is super long and healthy. She's looks amazing. (I'll be interviewing her tomorrow so you know Milly will be finding out her beauty secrets.) Then her models rocked the runway, and I was super impressed. Her clothes were insane. I wanted almost every outfit that I laid my eyes on! I also love the fact that she's coming out with a wig line. Yes, I'll be finding out the deets of that line very soon. Check out some of her designs, and find out how you can win a Kohls giftcard valued at $100.00

Smashbox Icon Image Factory Photo-Op Eye Shadow Palette Review
Hey Loves,
I'm excited. I hit 600 Facebook likes yesterday. That made me happy. For some, that's not a lot, but for me, that's great!! Especially since I really just started getting into it. Woohoo!! Anyway,
it's been a week since I blogged. Fashion week is here and life has just been crazy. But I recently started updating my facebook often, so please follow me there. Anyway, let's talk the new Smashbox Icon Palette which has been my go-to evening palette for the last few weeks. I probably wouldn't rock this palette during the day, as I think the colors might be a little too dark. But for night, the deep and intense shades of this palette work perfectly for a sexy smokey eye. Click below to read more and see a look I created using the palette.

Quick Look of the Day
I never do fashion post. Let's be honest, Milly isn't a fashionista... AT ALL. But, when I posted this pic of myself yesterday on Facebook, I got a lot of compliments on my outfit. And when I wore it on the streets of NY, a few peeps told me they liked it So, I wanted to give the deets on it because the whole outfit was less than $50.00.
Forever 21 Shirt-The shirt I originally bought was $6.99, but I no longer see it on the site. This one is pretty similar though.
Forever 21 Skirt-Again, this isn't the exact skirt I bought because I purchased it last year. But this one looks very similar and it's cheaper. Mine was $22.00, this one is $15.80.
Forever 21 Shoes-They no longer sell these or anything like them on the site. :-( I paid $22.00 for the shoes.
What do you think of this outfit?
Would you have styled it differently?
Hugs,
Milly

August Favorites
Hey guys,
It's been a while (about two weeks) since I've blogged. I've missed you guys big time, but I had a lot going on. Sadly, this blog had to suffer, but no more! Milly is back in action. Woohoo! Anyway, I hope you guys have been doing great. What's new in your world? Today we're talking my August Favorites. These are products that I found myself using over and over again in August. Products that I loved, loved, loved! Products that I would be faithful to if I could be! Unfortunately, because I'm a beauty blogger/editor, being faithful to any beauty product just can't happen. But, let's get into these goodies and why I love them.

Stila Stay All Day Foundation/Concealer Review
Hey loves, I hope your weekend was great. So if you guys didn't know, I recently did a segment on The Today Show for "Beauty Tips for Busy Women On The Go." Don't judge me for mentioning it every single moment I get. . :-) It was on my vision board for years and I made it come true. (I'll be blogging about that on Therapy Thursday this week.) Anyway, I had scheduled the segment a few months back, and had already picked my products. However, if I could, I would have definitely added Stila All Day Foundation/Concealer to a product that "women on the go" need in their life. I'm kind of obsessed with this product for a few reasons. My shade is Dark #11 which is an almost perfect match to my Makeup Forever HD 170. First of all, not only does this foundation come with a brush, but it also contains a concealer on the top and the concealer itself does a great job of covering any hyperpigmentation marks you may have. Click below to read my review and see me with the foundation on.
Lancome L'Absolu Creme De Mat Replenishing & Plumping Liquid Rouge Review & Swatches
For the fall, Lancome has released three L'absolu Creme De Mat Visibly Replenishing & Plumping Liquid Rouges. (Is that the longest name in the world?) Lancome says: "combines the gentleness of a gloss and the coverage of a lipstick with a deep velvety finish on the lips." These lippys are the business and since their limited edition, I think you girls should 1) read my review 2) afterwards close your computer and run to a nearby Sephora and pick them up. Why do I like them? Click below to find out.

Butter London Fall 2012 Collection Review And Swatches
(Update-Apologies, yesterday when I published both of my blog posts, my writing corrections were not saved. It has been fixed now. )
Butter London's new Autumn/Winter 2012 collection has me "Gobsmacked." lol. If you're British, you know what this means. I know my fellow Americans are like, "huh?". Well that basically means the collection has left me shocked. I'm not really shocked, but I wanted to use that word, "Gobsmacked" in a sentence. However, I am impressed with it. The colors are pretty gorgeous. They've released the beautiful BeSpoke collection and their Autumn/Winter Lippys. I'll be reviewing some of each here. Butter London has a huge following and I've always wondered why. However, after testing their last few collections, I can honestly say, I'm a believer. Their colors are rich, cruelty free, unique, and apply like a dream. Click below to read my review:
Therapy Thursdays: "Life Lessons To Be a Happier You""
(update: Yesterday for some reason, both of my blog posts did not get updated with my writing corrections. I was mortified after I realized it hours later. It has been fixed now :-))
A few months back, I received an email with this question, "Dear Milly, do you ever get sad and when you do, what do you do to get over it. I'm in a depressed funk and can't get out of it. " I ended up emailing the young lady, but I wanted to share a few of my answers with you. Of course I get sad and depressed sometimes; I'm human. But I learned a long time ago, that in most cases, you have the power to control your mind and especially your happiness. So here are some lessons to be a happier person.
1) Focus on the positive-Here are two ways I can think about my life: "Aww man, seven years ago, I quit a great paying job in finance so I could pursue my dreams, and it still hasn't happened." or " Aww man, that audition went wrong, I must suck." Holy crap! I'm already sad just writing that. Time to change my thinking. Here's how I choose to think about my life: "Seven years ago, I quit my high paying job to follow my dreams. No, my dreams haven't come true YET, but they WILL and while I'm waiting for them to come true, I am having a lot of fun a long the way." or "Yes that audition didn't go so well, but hey, this prepares me for the next one, which I will rock." When you choose to FOCUS on the positive out of every situation, believe you me, your whole outlook on everything changes for the better. I hear JLO is a huge believe in positive thinking and her life seems kind of awesome. Click below to read more tips:
Let's Meet on August 16 "Beauty Editors Day" At Saks
Hey friends,
On August 16, Saks is having a really cool event that I'm so happy to be a part of. It's "Beauty Editors Day" to benefit " Look Good Feel Better," an organization that benefits women with Cancer. From 12-7, you can consult with your favorite beauty editors for 20 minutes. I'll be with this fabulous brand called "Ioma." As you girls know, I only talk, blog, or represent things that I believe in 100%, and I"m really into this brand. They are the first "Evidence Based" skincare line in the world. They have this machine at the booth, that gives you a skin analysis, and the info you can learn about your skin from this device is incredible. How much UV damage you have, if you have early winkles, etc. It's so high-tech and I'm so excited to be a part of it. Plus you get a really cool bag worth over $60.00! You know Milly loves giving away things! And we get to meet. YAY! I promise you I'm really friendly in person. :-)
I'll be on, The Today Show the day before, so I'll try to get you Al Roker's autograph. (JK-well if you want it, I'll get it)
But, we can talk girl talk, beauty, friendships, kegel devices (just kidding) and maybe how we are making our dreams come true. Whatever you want.
Please spread to your friends.
Hope to meet you soon.
Hugs,
Milly

New Estee Lauder Rebellious Violet Lipgloss Review & Swatches & Interesting story
Hey friends, Can you believe it's August 1 already? Sheesh, where does the time go? Anyway, Today I'm taking about Estee Lauder's newest lip gloss, Rebellious Violet. This lipgloss is from Estee's new Pure Color Violet Underground Collection (available soon). Also later on in the post, I'm also going to let you in on something very interesting I discovered about fish oils and butt growth, but for now, let's get into this new lippy which I will be rocking religiously.
New Estee Lauder Pure Vivid Color Shine Lipstick Review + Estee Lauder Black Cassis Review & Swatches
How was your weekend, loves? Mine was fun, nothing crazy, just hanging with family and relaxing. I was supposed to do a segment last week, but it got rescheduled for tomorrow, so I prepped for that too. I hope your weekend was great and you spent time with those you love But, for now, let's get into beauty, and for now I'm talking Estee Lauder Pure Color Vivid Shine Lipstick for Fall 2012 and Estee Lauder Black Cassis Lipstick. Estee Lauder makes a very interesting claim with these new VIVID Shine lipsticks. For amplified color with unprecedented sparkling shine. Clusters of up to eight different shaped pearls cast diamond-like reflections. Silver and gold sparkle pearls neutralize lip tone. All looks great on every skin tone. "
That's a pretty bold statement to say that 16 shades look great on all skin tones. Now Estee Lauder sent me four of the Vivid Shine, so click below to see swatches and read my review.

New Rembrandt Stain Dissolving Strips
A few months ago on the blog, I recommended my secret tooth whitener. The one that had turned my after braces yellow teeth to pearly whites. It was my hidden secret for years, but you should know this about me, when it comes to beauty, I can't keep secrets. I love to spread the word when it comes to beauty products that work. Here's the problem though, after recommending my secret tooth whitener, they are now sold out. I'm so devastated. The guy told me he has no idea when he'll have more in stock. Oh NO!!!
A big problem is, before 10am, I drink my cup of Cafe bustelo, my Shoumei White Tea (powerful antioxidant) and my beloved smoothie. These all contribute to yellow teeth. And sometimes, a girl just doesn't have time to brush after every single drink. So here's a product that I've been trying and so far so good. It's Rembrandt's newest Intense Stain Stain Dissolving Strips. After drinking all my drinks, I take two strips, one for my top teeth and one for my bottom teeth. You apply this like you would regular whitening strips, but here's the kicker, you leave these on, and they dissolve in your mouth, stopping any stains from setting. I often do this on an empty elevator, or in a cab rushing to work, quick easy 123. So far, my teeth are still white, and I love the convenience of these. I also feel like they freshen your breath too, which is great, because after a smoothie, coffee and tea, I'm sure my breath isn't smelling so fresh. HA! FYI: do you know many peeps say yellow teeth ages you more than wrinkles! So whiten up those teeth.
All in all this gets an A.
What are you using to keep your teeth pearly white?
Have you tried these?
How was your weekend?
Mine was great, will get into it more tomorrow.
Hugs,
Milly
Win a 3 month Subscription to GlossyBox Giveaway & Apologies
Today's giveaway is super awesome. It's from glossybox. You guys know how much I love glossybox. I truly think they are the best box service around. You get at least 5 products in their boxes unlike others and usually you end up with six. They also feature brands not available in the states. I still use the Burberry lippy that came two boxes ago! Honestly, you can't find a better box service than them. Anyway, here's the giveaway: They are giving one beautylogic reader a three month subscription to their service. Aren't they awesome. As of now, all my giveaways are facebook only. So like this post and leave a comment on my fb page. Winner gets announced next Friday July 27.
Also, I'm sorry I haven't been blogging as much. I appreciate you guys emailing me asking me if I'll be back soon, but here's my issue: at this point, I'm really going hard to make my dream come true of being on TV. I'm so blessed to be a beauty editor for a Latin magazine, and it' something that has been on my vision board for years. I love doing it and the people I work with are truly the most wonderful people I have ever met. It is truly a blessing and I'm so thankful for the opportunity. But another goal is to be a lifestyle reporter, and I'm going to make it happen. I'm trying to book myself on tv as much as possible, writing new segments every day to pitch, and so far so good. In the next month, I have three coming up, including my first national one (The Today Show woohoo!). I'm so excited about it. But, I got a lot of emails recently asking if I'll ever be doing a new therapy therapy post and beauty posts. Yes, I will. I've got a few beauty coming up, including Estee Lauder's new fall Collection. How gorgeous!
And as for Therapy Thursday, here are some new ones coming, "Stop seeking validation from others" "How to control yourself when you may want to lose it with your kids" and the one I get the most, "How does Milly deal with sadness" because yes, I do get sad from time to time too, but remember, your life is a reflection of your thoughts so if you have SAD thoughts, you'll have a Sad life, so let's be happy. woohoo! Remember you only have one life to live. YOLO! (do you know I just learned what "yolo" meant about two months ago and I had to google it.ha )
Have a great weekend.
Remember to enter the giveaway.

Milly

Bobbi Brown Soothing Cleansing Oil
I love to self tan. (Shout out to St. Tropez!). I was born brown, but during the summer, I want to be as bronze as possible. But when I self tan, I can't use my beloved Clarisonic so much, because it exfoliates so well, it removes my tan within a day or two. So during the summer, I use my Clarisonic about once or twice a week. In the past, I used these so called, "Gentle Cleaners, but I found that I had to wash my face like 10 times before all of my makeup was removed. Step in my beloved Bobbi Brown Soothing Cleansing Oil. It's from Bobbi's latest collection, and I'm really loving it. The oil contains Jasmine Flower extract, Kukui oil, and Jojoba oil. With all these oils, you'd think your face would break out. Not at all. What it does do is remove every single trace of my makeup. And believe you me, Milly wears a lot of makeup. I can only use this at night because the scent is very calming and soothing. It smells like there's a hint of lavender in it. If I used this in the morning, I'd probably fall right back to sleep. I actually take a bit of the oil, press my hands together to warm the oil and then mix it with some water, massage my face with it. As I do that, not only am I giving my face a good facial massage and warding off wrinkles, but I'm taking all of my makeup off as well (including my waterproof mascara). Make sure you do a facial massage three times a week, you'll see a difference in your face. What I love about this also, is that it takes very little to remove my makeup. I then wash the oil off of my face with warm water. I'm left with super soft, hydrated, smooth, and makeup free skin, and with the slight scent that lingers, I find myself sleeping like a baby.
All in all an A+ product.
Do you like oil cleansers?
What are your faves?
This product retails for $42.00 which may be a lot, but this oil is so big, it will last forever.
By the way: did you guys catch my bestest on Single Ladies yesterday? Wasn't she amazing. So proud of her,

It Cosmetics Vitality Cheek Flush Powder Blush Review =Must have!
When it comes to blushes, Tarte Amazonian Clay blush has my heart. With their longevity, ant-aging ingredients, rich pigment, and massive amount of shades, I'm in love. I'm so in love, I own every single one of them. No blush has ever come close- until now. See, I recently got introduced to It Cosmetics Vitality Blush Cheek Stain, and can I just say, it was love at first application. This product is so brilliant because it applies as a regular blush, but once it's on your face, the finish is more of a natural looking stain. I received three shades for consideration: Pretty in Peony (my favorite), Radiant in Rose, and Magical Muave. Click below to read my review and see pretty in peony on my cheeks.
New Too Faced La Creme Color Drenched Lip Cream Review & Birthday Weekend Updates
Hey loves,
How was your weekend? My birthday weekend was pretty amazing, but for now let's talk beauty because I am so excited about the new fall Too Faced La Creme Color Color Drenched Lip Creams. Lipsticks are quickly becoming my thing this summer. I used to never wear lipsticks. I was all about glosses. But no more! The new Too Faced Lip Creams are just that: insanely creamy lipsticks that are super rich, so hydrating (these feel almost like lip balms), pretty pigmented, and contain anti-aging ingredients. Too Faced sent over two shades for me to test, Coral Crush (OMG, you girls know I love a good coral) and Nude Beach ( a color suited for every girl). Click below to see swatches, and read about my birthday weekend.

Neutrogena Shine Control Primer Review
Neutrogena has released their new Shine Control line and they sent over a few things. One of them being their Shine Control Primer. They guarantee with this primer, that you won't be shiny for 8 hours. If you live in NYC, you know the weather has been so nasty, hot, and disgusting. It's enough to make you crazy. During the summer, my skin becomes one greasy mess, so when a product promises no shine for eight hours, I'm listening. This product is a lot thicker than other primers. It's white, not clear, and contains Rice Protein complex which Neutrogena says, " acts like a sponge to absorb excess oil." This product doesn't feel like silicone like many other primers. It's actually pretty thick. It also contains tiny granules. You really have to rub the product on your face to make it clear and to smooth out those very tiny grains. At first I was like "What the heck?." but the end result is so worth it. First of all, after really rubbing it in, my makeup applied very evenly and looked pretty flawless and matte. Now, does this live up to it's 8 hour promise. Almost. In the nasty NYC squelching heat, my skin looked great for a good 7 hours. You don't understand, that's pretty awesome. It has been HOT!!! We're talking close to a 100 degrees. But, after about seven hours, I did notice the oil slightly coming back on my nose area. Would I purchase? Sure, it's $12.99 and I know some primers that cost more than $20.00 that don't get these results.
What's your go to primer?
How are you keeping cool in this heat?
Hugs,
Milly

Black 15 in 1 Shampoo & Conditioner & Winner of Glossybox
When it comes to hair, you girls know, Milly does not PLAY! Remember when I named mine. Hair products have to be exceptionally great for me to talk about them. Linette (that's my hair) is highlighted now, so I can really tell if a product is crap or if it actually works. I've been testing out black 15 in 1 hair shampoo/conditioner for about a month and a half now, and these products (although expensive) actually do a pretty great job. I love the whole concept of black 15 in 1. They say you're only supposed to wash your hair twice a week, and that's exactly what I do. I never wash my hair more-never! (Well except if I'm at the pool or beach.) The fact is over-washing your hair will lead to dry, un shiny, brittle, over-stripped, hair. Two times a week is enough, mamas, and any hairstylist will tell you that. A few things Milly loves about this product: 1) Doesn't contain sulfates or parabens 2) contains panthenol b5 which adds shine (and boy does it! my highlighted hair looks insanely shiny after I use this.) 3) Contains Argan oil, and sunflower seed extract. The key to this product is that it's supposed to maintain your hair for a while, so you only have to wash it twice a week. The shampoo is excellent, leaves my hair very soft and although the conditioner is kind of thick, it does a great job of detangling, smoothing it down, but not weighing it down. Just an fyi, if you don't want your hair to be heavy or weighed down, never ever use conditioner near your scalp. I only use conditioner mid hair and down. The scent of these products are not overwhelming at all. After rinsing the product you no longer smell them. After blowdrying or rollersetting your hair, you'll have serious body, bounce and shine. Both the conditioner and shampoo get an A. These would probably get an A+ if I loved the price, but for me $20.00 for a shampoo and $20.00 for a conditioner is a lot.
Find out more about Black 15 in 1 here.
PS: I'm sorry I haven't been blogging lately. I'm now working on the October issue of Cosmo for Latinas which is going to be AMAZING and prepping for a new segment so I've been a little crazed.
What's your favorite hair products for the summer?
The tarte giveaway winner has not come forward yet. if they haven't come forward by Monday will have to pick someone else. However, winner of glossybox according to Random.org is Airess Coleman. I'm having a great giveaway next week in honor of my bday so stay tuned! woohoo.
Hugs,
Milly
