China Glaze Summer Neons Collection Part 1 Review and Swatches
Lately, I have not been in the summer mood at all. Seems like everyday NYC is either miserably cloudy or rainy. I hear the weather in London is just like this. But, when I look at the new China Glaze Summer Neons collection, I instantly forget the nasty weather, and start day dreaming of hanging out by the pool, beach time with my girls, and long walks in the park with my family. This may be my fave summer collection. This 12 piece collection includes neons of blue, green, coral, pink etc. These colors are perfect for the summer. Today's post contains six colors. Long Due Review: Tarte Frisky Blush
After that, I received emails from a few readers asking what blush I had on in the pic. When I went to direct them to the post I thought I had written about the blush, I was shocked that I hadn't reviewed one of my favorite Coral blushes, Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush, Frisky. I love this blush so much that I even featured it in Cosmo For Latinas as a "must have item." Frisky is a stunning red coral blush with gold shimmer. It is super pigmented, so if you're lighter than I am, you will have to apply this with a light hand, because with one swipe of your brush, you've got serious color. On warmer skin tones, OMG, this blush is your dream! The shade stays on for so long too. I apply this early in the am, and don't need to reapply at all throughout the day. This blush also contains antioxidants like Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and Amazonian Clay which is supposed to help with dry skin, and improve clarity. If you are looking for a coral blush, you can't go wrong with Tarte Frisky. Tarte also has another coral in their collectin called Tarte Tipsy, which is more of a peach coral, but on me Tarte Frisky is the win.
I love Tarte in general because they are more on the natural side when it comes to makeup. All in all, this blush is an A+++++++.
Have you tried Tarte Frisky?
Have you tried Tarte's Amazonian Clay Blushes?
They are unbelievable.
How was your memorial day weekend?

Chanel Summer Nail Collection 2012 Review and Swatches
When it comes to nails, I don't play. See my abuela (grandma) was really big on my nails always being manicured. If she noticed any dirt under my nails, Good Lord, I was in trouble. When I was a teen, and a huge tomboy, she was always fighting with me about my dirty nails. If she spotted chipped or dirty nails, she would sit me down, and give me a manicure herself, and have these long talks with me, telling me that a woman should always look presentable and care about their appearance. To this day, if my nails look a hot mess, I think of my abuela, and immediately grab my manicure kit, and give myself one. Man, I miss her. Sorry for the random thought, let's get into beauty. Besides the warm weather, one of the things I look forward to most in the summer is the new makeup and nail collections. Chanel always brings a shade that becomes the most coveted of the summer and they also always set new nail trends. This summer, I've noticed most collections embracing neons, and pastels, but not Chanel. They've chosen a different approach. Dove Clear Tone Deodorant Review
I know a few girls who don't like to wear tank tops because they are scared to show their dark underarms. Women of color tend to suffer from this a lot more just because of the extra melanin in our skin. Years of shaving, sweating, and leaving deodorant on all the time contribute to this problem as well. My mom has been making me use lemon under my arms for years, so I'm pretty fortunate not to have that. Dove Deodorant recognized the under arm darkness problem, and created Dove Clear Tone. This contains Calendula and Sunflower extract which are supposed to restore skin to it's natural tone. This product is also supposed to last 24 hours. The product has a fresh scent to it. I think it last pretty long too. I always carry deodorant in my bag, because I usually have to retouch throughout the day (or sometimes in the morning, I can forget to apply deodorant. Don't judge me, lol. I"m a busy mom!) I didn't have to reapply with this product. I love that this doesn't leave white marks on my shirts too. All in all, if you suffer from dark marks and your deodorant runs out quick, this might be a good option for you.
Here are few Milly tips to prevent dark marks under your pits:
1) Use a sugar and lemon scrub under your pits. But, do this at least a day after shaving. If you do it right after, you will be screaming like a new born baby. Lemon stings freshly shaved skin.
2) Wash deodorant off your pits at night.
3)You can also do a Lemon and honey rinse. As Lemon is a natural skin bleacher, and honey is a natural skin moisturizer. Leave on for about 5 minutes, then rinse.
4) If you suffer from extensive armpit sweat, use apple cider vinegar on your pits at night. Apply a quarter of a teaspoon to each pit, wait till it drys, then in the morning rinse off. As someone whose armpit sweat was embarrassing, this helps tremendously. Don't worry about the pits stinking like vinegar, once it dries, you should be ok.
Hope this helps.
You can purchase Dove Clear Tone Deodorant here.

Milly

May 2012 GlossyBox (USA) Review
Hey loves, how's your Memorial Day going. I hope great. So, I recently got May's Glossybox. If you don't know what a Glossybox is, it's a service where you pay $21.00 a month and get a box of at least five full size or sample items. I reviewed my first Glossybox last month, and I was very happy with it. Click here to read about it. The second time around, I'm actually a bit more pleased. This month's glossybox theme is Beauty Around the World. We've got items from France, UK, Italy, Korea, and good ole USA. I love getting these ever month. This box contained six items:

Maybelline Mega Plush by Volum' Express Mascara Review
Maybelline is killing it with their mascaras and their new Mega Plush by Volum' Express Mascara might just be hand in hand with Falsies as being my favorite drugstore mascara. Why? you ask. For one, this mascara contains a gel mousse formula so your lashes are never left stiff or brittle. I love that! I touched up this mascara a few times yesterday, and because my lashes were still soft, there was no clumpiness, just massive added volume. This mascara also contains their new Flexor Brush. The brush is pretty big and contains some pretty large bristles as well . Click below to read my review, and see my before and after.
Obsessed with One n Only Argan Heat Professional Ceramic Hair Setter
Hey loves,
Recently, at the International Beauty Show, I was intrigued when I saw the, One N Only Argan Heat Professional Ceramic Hairsetter with Oil Applicator (man, that is a long name). This product contains 8 extra roller jumbos, four that are 1 3/4 inches and the other four are 2 inches. It also contains clips that actually work on the rollers. A lot of hot roller sets contain clips that do not hold the roller in place. Not these. They work great. I already have a hot roller set but this one was different because it contains a device where you can apply argan oil to the roller. I found that really interesting. The rollers heat up super quickly. I didn't think eight rollers would be enough for my bra strap length hair, but because these are super huge, they fit, not perfectly, but they do get all of my hair. Now that I dyed my hair from jet black to honey brown highlights, I need all the conditioning I can get so I loved that I had the option of applying argan oil on these rollers and then setting my hair with it. Click below to read my review, and see my hair after.

Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Facial Cleanser & Shout Out to Mom
One day when I was in my teens, my mom walked into the bathroom with a huge garbage bag, and began grabbing all of our soaps and body washes and throwing them inside the bag. At first I didn't mind. For the last few months, she's been acting a little strange. (I didn't know at the time it was because she'd been diagnosed with cancer of the lymph glands.) She'd stopped eating meat. Started only making raw veggies for herself, and wheat grass concoctions in the morning. Started yoga three times a week and meditating constantly. So I was used to her doing unusual stuff. I didn't even mind her throwing things away, until she grabbed my Bath & Body Mango Body Wash, and threw it inside the bag too. "What are you doing?" I asked her, while trying to grab my beloved wash out of the bag. She grabbed my hand, and gave me a stern look, "For now on, we are only using natural products." From then on while living with my parents, all we used were natural washes, and soaps. Even our laundry detergent was natural. Even now, years later, I still favor natural products. Although as a beauty blogger/editor I can't just stick to natural since I have to test various things. But, I'm really loving Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Facial Cleanser. Smashbox Shades of Fame Eye Palette & Brush Review
Hey guys, I'm so sorry about the last two weeks. My blogging has kind of come to a stop due to my crazy life! I hope you guys are doing great. Let's get back to our regularly scheduled program of beauty and let's start with the new Smashbox Shades of Fame Palette which I'm really digging. As you girls know, this summer, I"m making some serious beauty changes. I recently got highlights all over my jet black hair, and after a few days of getting used to them, I can finally say I love them!
Also, when it comes to makeup, I'm stepping away from neutrals, and doing bolder colors. For the summer, Smashbox has released their new Shades of Fame Palette. These are Smashbox Makeup Artists' favorite shades for the eyes. The palette contains nine very pigmented shadows, two creamy eyeliners, a shadow primer, a double sided Smashbox brush and an instructional on how to create three fun looks. I'm so loving this. All this for $48.00. Click below to read my review, and see swatches, and check a look i created for my abuelo's 88th birthday party yesterday:

New St. Tropez Wash Off Instant Glow Body Lotion
I saw the news about this lady two weeks ago, and was shocked. Not only because she was accused of letting her six year old tan, but because clearly this woman has gone overboard. It turns out this woman is addicted to tanning in tanning beds. The term is called Tanorexia. Don't believe me, check out the wiki page here.
Now, don't get me wrong. Milly loves to tan too! But, I love SUNLESS tanning. The only thing tanning with the sun does is age you prematurely and give you wrinkles at like 20, or expose you to skin cancer. I also find that sunless tanning gives me better color than the actual sun does.
However, sometimes with sunless tanning, you can find yourself with streaky results. Like last week when I tested a new one, it left me with great color, but man, was it streaky. My legs were partially light, and partially bronze. I was a little freaked out because I did want to wear a dress that day. I remembered that St. Tropez had recently sent me their One Night Only Instant Glow Body Lotion. Click below to read my review:
Cosmo For Latinas Launch Party
Hey guys, so this week was very busy but a lot of fun. Wednesday was the Cosmo For Latinas Launch Party. I got to meet and chat with Zoe Saldana. (She's been on my vision board for a while so I knew we'd meet eventually!) I thought it was so cute that she brought her mom, sister, and her abuela as well, and they were wonderful too. Her red lip was giving me life! I also saw Rosci Diaz again (host of 106 and Park). She is always so sweet.
And superbowl champ Victor Cruz was there too.
I got a lot of compliments on my outfit which is kind of funny. The only reason I wore the pink blazer was because last week, I went away for a few days, and didn't bring bug repellant. I got some serious bug bites on my arms. It does not look pretty. So I added the pink blazer to the outfit and it was a hit. Anyway, this is a pic of some makeup items I used for the event, but not all :
I used a few more items like Urban Decay 24 hour Perversion eyeliner, Lancome lip liner, Black Opal Foundation to contour, but I forgot to add those to the pic. All in all, a great day. This week has been a lot busier than I had anticipated, and I'm sorry I haven't blogged as much as I thought I would. I will resume blogging next week.
Have a great weekend!
Hugs & Love,
Milly
Therapy Thursday: Dear Milly, What is your key to success?
Hey loves. I hope you're doing well. I received an email from someone recently that I'd like to share. It was from a reader who asked me if I had any secrets for achieving success. I'd like to start this off by saying that in my mind, I have not yet achieved success. Success to me is reporting beauty and lifestyle on a TV network. I love reporting. I'm nosy, and I love talking to random people on the street so reporting is perfect for me. But, I will admit that I have been given some amazing opportunities, and I'm incredibly grateful for every single one of them. Up until a few years ago, that wasn't the way my life was. A few years back, my life was pretty sad. But, when I changed my thinking, my life changed. It got so much better. Although, I"m not yet where I want to be, I know I will be one day. Here are some ways I believe you can achieve success. Click Below to Read More:

Date Night Pretty with New Milani Powder Eyeshadows
Milani is a drugstore brand that impresses me often. From their gorgeous Corallina blush (which is a staple for me now) to their new eyetech liner (which gets my line right each time) and now their new Powder eyeshadows. These powder shadows were a lot better than expected. I used Tarte's new 12 hour primer with them, and found that they lasted pretty long. Click below to see swatches, and see a look I created with the shadows and read about the best mango martin in NYC:
Essie Summer 2012 Bikini So Teeny Collection Swatches , Review, & Giveaway!
The new Essie Summer 2012 Bikini So Teeny Collection won't be available till June, but I've got some swatches for you right now. This collection consists of five brights, and one bronze shade (which actually ended up being my fave). Although Essie describes these shades as "seductive," I think the only shade that looks anywhere near seductive is that shimmery bronze color. The others are fun and playful, perfect for Summer. Click below to see swatches and read my review. Oh, and Milly's got a little surprise for you too.
Winner has been announced for this. It's Nadege B. Thanks for entering.

Therapy Thursday: Even When Things Aren't Going Great For You, Help Someone Else
Hey Loves, how's your day going. Want some coffee. I've got some Cafe Bustelo with your name on it.
Have a seat. Today I want to talk to you about helping others, when things aren't going so well for you and of course, I'll start with something that happened to me.
Last year, I found out about an opportunity to audition for my dream job. I was so excited! I knew I had it in the bag! So I went in feeling super confident, and after the audition, in my mind, I thought I had done extremely well. But afterwards, the casting director didn't seem too happy. I smiled at her, asked her how it went, and she immediately told me that I was good, but she wanted someone a little different than me. She began to describe what she wanted: someone taller, someone blonder, someone who knew Connecticut well, someone who had great contacts in Connecticut, etc etc. After hearing this, I was super sad. I really thought I had this in the bag.
But as she mentioned everything she wanted, I started to think of my girlfriend, who was from the area, , who had more experience than me, who knew how to shoot/edit/write, produce, who had the look the casting agent wanted. And, although I was super sad because it didn't work for me, I immediately told her that since I wasn't the right fit, I would connect her to my girlfriend who I thought was perfect. Long story short, I called my girlfriend, she came in a few days later , and she got the job. I'd be lying to you girls if I told you, I wasn't sad. In fact, I was devastated. If you've been reading my site for a while you know that I've been trying to report for years and this job was lifestyle reporting which was exactly what I wanted to do. However, after helping her, I noticed so many great things began happening. A few days later, I got an email from CVS asking if I'd be their spokesperson. I booked a few segments etc. As I've looked back on my life, I noticed a pattern, every time something is going bad for me, and I still chose to help someone, amazing things end up happening later. It's like the universe is thanking me. Not sure what it is, but today's Therapy Thursdays is this: when things are going bad for you, don't stop helping people. In fact, try to help someone else. I really believe you'll see a reward later.
Hugs,
Milly

Currently Loving Lancome Tangerine Tint
Hello loves, yesterday I woke up with a straight swollen face. I had my wisdom teeth removed, and well, it wasn't pretty, but thank Heavens the pain is done. Today, let's get into a blush that I've been wearing lately, and that's Lancome's Tangerine Tint Blush Subtil. I was reminded of how beautiful this blush was when my oral surgeon begged me for the name (right before she knocked me out). When I searched the blog to see if I had reviewed this, I was shocked that I hadn't (considering it's been one of my fave blushes for the last few months).
Lancome Tangerine Tint is an interesting name for this blush because I don't see anything tangerine about it .You'll find that this blush leans more towards a coral peach with a subtle sheen. I love how buildable this blush is. You can definitely rev up the intensity of this one with a few swipes of your brush or keep it light. In my opinion this blush would work on probably everyone, except if you're super warm, it may not show up as much as you'd like. I would show you a pic of me with it on, but my cheeks are still pretty swollen so here's a swipe on my arm.
Also, here's Lancome's Tangerine Tint (nail polish on my fingers which is part of their Summer collection. This nail polish is def not like the blush, and is much more a tangerine color. I love it. !
What do you think of Lancome Tangerine Tint the blush and nails?
What's new in your world?
Hugs,
Milly
Julie G Nail Polish Review
So as I told you, last month at IMATS, I got the chance to spend a few moments with youtube star Julie G. Here's what I noticed about her: 1) Incredibly kind and humble. She spent a lot of time talking to each one of her supporters. 2) Extremely passionate about her craft 3) Gorgeous. As I told you in my post though, I left my bag of some of her polishes on the subway, but I've got some to show you now and these polishes are pretty great for $3.99 each.

Here are the first three post I've done, but I want you to keep in mind that both this blog and Cosmo For Latinas is for everyone!!
