Nightly Beauty Routine?

I thought it would be interesting for us to share our nightly beauty routines so I’m going to start mine off. I’d love to know yours too. Will you share? Heres mine for the moment (it changes all the time).

I usually get home from work at around 9:30pm. Yes that late. I make myself a cup of Village Tea’s
Green Tea Photobucket You know this is loaded with antioxidants!

Sometimes I even pour myself a glass of wine (depends on how I’m feeling), sit in front of the tv for around 20 minutes and watch what’s on. After that I get up, shower, and then get ready for my night. I wash my face with my clarisonic, Photobucket

and current face wash. (I have way too many.) After that, I give myself a facial massage for around 5 minutes (De does not want wrinkles!). Then I apply my Jan Marini Vitamin C Skin Serum, Photobucketall over my face and neck and decolette, and then put some Rosbud salve on my lips. PhotobucketNow if I am going to wash my hair the next day, I take a dab of coconut oil, and give myself a 5 minute hair massage, if not, I just massage my scalp with my bare fingers. After that I tie my hair up, very close to my forehead (that’s how you can keep hair full of body and bounce) and then I grab korres Quince lotion Photobucket, and lotion my feet, (it’s summer got to make sure your feet are soft) then I put on some socks to keep the moisture. I then go to bed and fluff my pillows (both of them have silk pillowcases to keep the shine to my hair.) I then turn my tv on, and go to sleep. (I must must sleep with the tv on. I can’t sleep with it off. I can be in a deep sleep but if someone turns the tv off, I will wake up immediately like a ninja ready to fight.)

What’s your night time beauty routine?

Do you sleep with the tv on? Lol

Glycolic Acid – Provides superb skin resurfacing and retexturing benefits.
• Proprietary Peptide Blend – Targeted peptide blends designed to provide remarkable skin rebuilding and rejuvenation benefits.
• Resveratrol – Polyphenol from red wine often referred to as the “longevity” molecule. Has a wide range of anti-aging benefits that include wrinkle reduction, anti-inflammatory activity and has been shown to modulate genetic expression
• Green Tea Extract – Powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. Medical validation exists regarding its ability to significantly decrease the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Green tea also helps to reduce the appearance of skin redness, including rosacea and has demonstrated anti-acne properties. May also assist in protecting the skin against sun damage.
• Red Tea Extract – Powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. Studies suggest that it can significantly decrease the appearance of lines and wrinkles.
• White Tea Extract – Powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. Helps to prevent sun damage and boosts the immune function of cells. Decreases appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
• Pomegranate Extract – Powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. Helps to support cellular regeneration and skin repair.
• Linoleic and Linolenic Acid – Essential fatty acids with anti-inflammatory properties. Assists in preventing trans-epidermal moisture loss.
• Co-Enzyme Q-10 – Powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. Acts like a “cellular battery” to boost the skins ability to repair and regenerate. Research also indicates that CoQ10 encourages the production of collagen and elastin. Helps to protect the skin from sun damage.
• Algae Extract – Contributes beneficial minerals to the skin and promotes excellent moisture retention and elasticity.

DE wants you to try it too. Send an e-mail to beautylogicblog@yahoo.com telling me what would you like to see more of on BeautyLogic and please be HONEST. Winner gets announced on Friday April 3.

Dark Circles-No way! & New Giveaway!

Photobucket

I love love Mr. DE. He’s my heart and soul and there’s nothing I wouldn’t do for him. However, there is one thing about him that drives me absolutely crazy. At exaclty 12 in the morning, he begins to snore. I’m not talking about low sounding snores. NOOOOOOOOOOO, I’m talking about the most obnoxiously loud snores you’ve ever heard. I sometimes wonder if my neighbors can hear him. I can be in the most blissful sleep of my life, and will suddenly be awaken by the disgusting sounds coming from his nose. It kills me. Lately, it’s been happening every night, so usually I wake him up and make him sleep in the living room but I can still hear him even when he’s all the way in the next room. It drives me nuts, and I loose a lot of sleep because of it. Now, since my average sleep is about 3 hours a night, you would think my eyes would be loaded with dark circles. Not at all! You know DE wants to stay looking 21 forever so I make sure to prevent any damage to my face. I’ve mentioned this brand to you before, and honestly, I can’t believe how effective this woman’s products are. I’m a blogger so I get tons of products but this brand stands out to me so much because I do actually see serious results. Jan Marini Factor A for Dark Circles, makes me look as if I get tons of sleep at night.

Photobucket

It’s loaded with vitamin K and retinol. Vitamin K is known for repairing blood vessels and decreasing hyperpigmentation in the skin and and retinol decreases appearances of lines and wrinkles. After sleeping for only 3 hours per night, I should have dark circles like mad, but because I’ve been using this every night, I still look refreshed……..and like I’m 21. lol

I love this, and I want you to love it too.

I'm giving away a brand new bottle of Jan Marini's Factor A for Dark Circles. Send an e-mail to BeautylogicBlog@yahoo.com telling me why you need this product. Winner gets announced Thursday.

Best Serum 2008

How was your weekend? Mine was pretty uneventful. My Grandma is coming back home and I'm happy as a clam. All your e-mails and support are greaty appreciated. Now back to beauty! As a beautyblogger/junkie I try a lot of products. I’m a woman in my mid twenties, and I’m trying desperately to fight aging. I hope to stay looking 21 for at least another twenty years, lol (my mom looks like she’s 30 and she’s close to 60). The most important components in my anti-aging arsenal are serums. These creams are packed with a much higher concentration of anti-aging ingredients than your regular moisturizers. Anyway, this year I tried many of them to see which one was the best and hands down, my favorite was Jan Marini’s Age Intervention Serum.

Photobucket

This contains the highest peptide concentration ever made in a product, massive antioxidants and hyaluoronic acid-all potent anti-aging weapons. I’m on my second bottle of this and can honestly say this serum has left my skin looking absolutely beautiful. I’ve tried a lot of Jan’s items, and she has some really great products in her line. I use this at night before bed, and unlike regular serums, this is more of a cream consistency. What I noticed after three weeks of use was that my skin had this glow to it that it never had before. Because I never used to wear glasses (they weren’t cool) when I was young and always squinted my eyes, (and mommy always told me not to-but I never listened), I have a slight line on my forehead, (no one notices it except me but it drives me nuts, why couldn’t glasses have been cool when I was growing up!), but since I’ve been using this, the line is barely noticeable (and believe me I notice everything). My skin is so silky, and it has this gorgeous glow to it, that even abuela noticed it when she saw me! It really is effective, and it’s BeautyLogic’s Favorite Serum for 2008.

Have you tried Jan’s products?

FAB SKIN WITH VITAMIN C

I’ve told you guys before how addicted I am to serums. Serums are incredibly potent liquids that keep DE looking very young. (Did I tell you guys my theatre professor thought I was 18-21?) lol, ok I’ll stop talking about that. A lot of anti-aging creams claim they contain Vitamin C. But, a lot of people don’t know that unless there’s a certain type of Vitamin C in the product, then most likely the Vitamin C will not be active once you place it on your skin.

Photobucket

I’ve been using Jan Marini's C-Esta Oil Control serum and I can really see the difference. First of all it contains vitamin C in the stable form of Ascorbyl Palmitate. I’ve told you about Jan Marini before. She’s known as the Derma Diva. She was using glycolic acid before anyone and researches extensively everything she sells. She’s also the first person that ever used this stable form of Vitamin C, and her C-esta products have a shelf life of up to two years. If you don’t know what Vitamin C is good for, it’s one of the most potent antioxidants for your skin. It works deep within your skin to create collagen and is great for preventive aging and protects the skin from UV damage. Anyway on to results, I’ve been applying this right before my moisturizer. I give it about two minutes to settle in, then on to the moisturizer and then on to the make-up. I’ve been using this for 3 weeks, and my skin is looking beautiful! The last three weeks have been incredibly stressful, and usually my skin shows how much stress I’m going through with acne breakouts, but not this time. I haven’t got one zit, even when my monthly visitor came around. This is also a thicker consistency than my regular serums. Usually after a few hours, my skin begins getting oily, and I have to apply some powder. Not with this serum! It keeps the oil away, and I’m glowing. I’m loving how even and refreshed my skin looks, and my pores appear so much smaller and the fact that this has a stable vitamin C, makes me very happy in knowing that I’m actually putting something on my face that works,,,,,,, and it shows!!!

Remarkable Lash Enhancement with Jan Marini

I’m a huge fan of long eyelashes. The fact is I wasn’t blessed with really long lashes like my brother so I’m a sucker for any product that claims to elongate and strengthen them. Many times, I’ll spend hundreds on items that do nothing and last year someone applied fake eyelashes on me and my eye were so irritated, I couldn’t open them for a week. But I recently got my hands on Marini lash and I am absolutely obsessed with this product.

Photobucket

First of all I love this company. The founder Jan Marini is known as the “Derma Diva.” She’s known for pioneering medically-validated skin care preparations and has formed associations with some of the world's leading physicians and research scientists. Before Glycolic Acid was accepted by the mass market, she had been using it for years. She’s also the first person who marketed a stable vitamin C technology for healthier skin (what a Diva!).Anyway, her Marini Lash shocked me. I’ve been using it for about a month. In the evening, I apply this as if I’m applying eyeliner on my upper eyelash only. It contains a proprietary peptide blend that really works to elongate my lashes. The progress is remarkable. If Mr. DE notices how effective a product is, I know it’s a keeper. (The only thing he notices is the stock market.) On Saturday when I woke up, he was caressing my cheek and staring at me. He remarked, “I never noticed how long your lashes are.” Keep in mind this product does not work over night. Au contrare, it takes about a month, but the results are so well worth it. My eyelashes are impressively longer and fuller now. I am so happy! (After using this, I’ve even dared to venture outside my house without mascara.)

I love it!

And guess what, I want you to love it too.

DE is giving away a brand new Marini Lash. Send an e-mail to BeautyLogicBlog@yahoo.com with the subject "DE,Marini Eyelash Extension Needs to be Mine" and then tell me why you need Marini. My cousin will pick out the winner on Sunday August 24 and the winner gets announced August 25.
