Lancome Hypnose Star Mascara Review & Pride Weekend Updates
Hey loves, how was your weekend. Mine was great. We'll get into it later in this post, but for now, let' talk my new mascara love which is Lancome Hypnose Star Mascara. When it comes to mascaras, Lancome usually gets it right, so when I heard about the new Lancome Hypnose Star mascara, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it and test it out. Lancome claims the mascara was inspired by the show stopping glamour of 1930's movies. The first thing I noticed about this mascara was the triangular brush. Two of the sides are flat, and the other two are oblique. The brush does a great job of capturing my lashes.
According to Lancome, each side has a purpose, the flat side is supposed to, "loads lashes with just the right amount of product to generously coat lashes" and the oblique sides are supposed to, "separates and lengthens while fixing lashes in a curl, according to the brand. " I'll say this, Hypnose Star is def my new favorite Lancome mascara. And I really think it delivers on it's promises. Not only does it give insanely lush and long lashes, but it also coats them with this pigment which makes my lashes look super intense. I also notice no smudging. Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme Makeup Review
I've been eying the new Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme Makeup for a few weeks. Anything that Halle Berry endorses, I always want to try it. (That woman is just so darn beautful!) I've been searching for it in my shade, Rich Ginger, but couldn't find it in any drugstores. In all of the drugstores I went to, the shade, Early Tan, was the darkest available. Early Tan is about three shades too light for me. Finally, I just ordered Rich Ginger online. Anyway, yesterday in NYC, it was so hot. (Today is supposed to be hotter, 100 degrees!) After walking two blocks, it felt like I ran 20 miles and took a bikram yoga class -all at the same time. I was dying!! I couldn't take the heat. I was sweating like crazy and I had five meetings to attend all around the city. It was horrible. After walking to my last meeting, I ran to the bathroom to wipe the sweat off of me. Going to a beauty meeting, looking a hot sweaty mess, is not a good look. The interesting thing was, I was sweating bricks, but my Revlon Colorstay 24 Hour Whipped Creme still looked flawless. I was kind of shocked. I'm in love with this stuff.

New Laura Mercier Nude Silk Nail Polish Fall 2012
It's hard to believe that I'm reviewing a "Fall" beauty product when tomorrow is officially the beginning of Summer and Thursday in NYC, we are set to hit 100 degrees. But yes, I recently received the Laura Mercier Nude Silk Nail Polish, part of her new Fall 2012 collection. Although this color isn't as bright as I usually wear, (in the summer I'm always rocking bright neons or designs on my nails) for some reason, I find myself so drawn to it and I've been rocking Nude Silk for the last few days.
Nude Silk is a medium toffee cream finish polish. I guess it's what you call a "work friendly" shade. It applied with no streaks and two coats is what I used in these pics. I like it alot! Yesterday I went to a beauty meeting, and got a lot of compliments on how it looked great next to my brown skin. All in all, if you're looking for a polish that you can wear a for any occasion, look no further than Laura Mercier's Nude Silk Polish. I believe it will be available beginning late June for $18.00.
What do you think of the polish?
Are you wearing Nudes on your nails this summer?

Simply Vera Smoothing Lip Color Review and Swatches
I never would have thought that lipsticks would replace my beloved lipglosses. For years, my lips didn't really show lipstick any love. The lipsticks of my past were always drying , and made my lips looked all chapped, gross, and thin. This summer though, as I told you girls, I'm making big beauty changes. I've colored my hair. I'm wearing more bright eye shadows, and instead of lipglosses, I'm finding myself rocking lipsticks a lot more. My new lipstick discovery are Simply Vera Smoothing Lip Color. Like the name suggest, these lipsticks are very creamy, smoothing and moisturizing to the lips. I didn't use any chapstick or balm under these, and I didn't need to, as these gave my lips hydration they didn't have before. The shades are gorgeous and definitely buildable. I received 701, 704, and 705. I kind of wish these had a name, but I digress. Click below to read more, and see swatches of these gorgeous lippys.
Smashbox Limitless 15 Hour Wear Cream Shadow Review
Hey loves, how was your weekend? Mine was good. I spent my time with my family which is always great. We' talk more about that later, but for now, let's get into beauty. Today I'm talking Smashbox Limitless 15 Hour Wear Cream Shadow. I blogged about these on Cosmo For Latinas blog, and wrote about how they can last even throughout the steamiest and sweatiest of hookups. These are so great for a few reasons. The pigment on these are pretty fantastic; the longevity wthout creasing is outstanding. Click below to see swatches, read my review, and see a quick look I created using these shadows.
Sorry I've been MIA
Hey guys, sorry for my non posting, but in the midst of a tantrum, lil man threw my camera on the floor on Monday and broke it. They weren't lying when they called this age, "terrible twos." Anyway, thank Heavens for my warranty. I got it fixed and just picked it up, so we'll be back blogging asap.
Have a great weekend!

St Tropez Self Tan Dark Bronzing Mousse Review & Weekend Updates
Hey loves,
How was your weekend? Mine was lots of fun, but we'll get into that later in this post. For now, let's talk beauty. St. Tropez recently released their Self Tan Dark Bronzing Mousse. This self tan contains a new melanin technology that is guaranteed to give you the darkest, and deepest tan possible. As someone who gets pretty great color with the original St. Tropez mousse, I was curious to try this new one. Could it really make me darker than the original? After exfoliating thoroughly with Repechage's Dead sea Exfoliator, I began applying the mousse with my tan mitten. The first thing I noticed was that this product was not deep brown like the original, St. Tropez, but GREEN. Yes a deep dark olive. It was a little strange. Did I get a bad batch? I thought to myself. Click below to read my review on this must-have self tanner and check out my weekend updates.

Repechage Sea Spa Glow All Over Body Scrub Review
I'm really picky when it comes to exfoliators. I loathe the ones that say they, "exfoliate thoroughly" yet when I use them, the granules feel as soft as baby powder. Or the ones that are so harsh they feel as if they are ripping your skin apart with each lather. Step in Repechage Sea Spa Glow. This exfoliator is quickly becoming one of my favorites. First of all, can we talk about how delicious the scent is, -pure spearmint. It reminds me of Trident's spearmint gum, which is my favorite. It's great when you use it in the morning because the scent immediately invigorates you. The salts, which come from the Dead Sea in Israel thoroughly exfoliate my skin without being too soft or harsh. I love that this also contains seaweed which is a natural source of vitamins, amino acids, and trace minerals. It also contains olive oil which ensures after you scrub, your skin is as hydrated and soft as a baby's bottom.
The product retails for $35.00
This scrub is seriously an A+.
What is your fave scrub?
You can purchase it here.
Have you tried Repechage products?

Cover FX Brightening Foundation Primer SPF 50 Review
I remember a few years back, before I'd discovered primer, always carrying my foundation on me, just because in the hot weather, I knew I would have to retouch it. I expected that it would be melting, seeping in my pores, and make my face look all blotchy, oily and messy. Back in the days, I would never allow anyone to see me without my foundation. Mr. Milly swears he just saw me for the first time without foundation two years ago. Although, I tell him that's not true, he actually might be right. I was super sensitive when it came to my skin. It was loaded with hyperpigmentaton marks, and bumps. Now or days, because of a good skincare regime, Clarisonic, vitamins and my smoothie, I actually don't mind being without foundation. On days I do it use it, I always apply a barrier between the foundation and my skin, and one that I always seem to go back to is Cover FX Brightening Foundation Primer wth SPF 50. I love that this contains such a high amount of SPF. This primer is a little thicker than most primers that I've used. Cover Fx says it contains, " Dermaveil blurs the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and Bearberry extract helps reduce the appearance of age spots. " All I know is when I use this primer, my foundation stays put, 2) my skin looks really radiant almost glowing. 3) When I apply foundation after using this, it applies so evenly and smoothly. It also makes my large pores look non existent. I've actually used this without any foundation, and liked how even it made my skin looked. Yes it's expensive-$45.00 but this bottle will last you a very long time (at least a year). It's also free of parabens, fragrances, and oils. All in all, this Primer is the Business. During the hot weather, I think primer is essential, and the fact that this contains SPF 50 makes this product pretty amazing.
What's your go-to primer?
Do you use prmer at all?
Hugs,
Milly
