Salma Hayek is not only an amazing actress, director, and producer. (I highly recommend the movies Frida and In The Time of The Butterflies, Salma plays Dominican revolutionary Minerva Mirabal. What a performance!)But she's also a super businesswoman, who created a wonderful beauty line that all women whether rich or poor can afford.
My mother is a huge fan of Sea Salt. She always advises me to use it in my foods because it's much healthier than regular salts. But I wonder if mommie knows how beneficial it is for the skin. This Ford Model explains how sea salt gives her a glowing complexion:
This luxurious product called Ocean Salt by Lush is supposed to be fantastic. I have a few friends that use it and swear by its amazing ability to keep skin smooth and silky.
hey, encontre' tu comentario en el sitio de beautyinbmore and thought i'd peep ur site! and it's pretty nice. yo fui a middle/highschool w/ doms and mexs jaja sea salt is good to cook w/ b/c it doesnt hav additives like regular table salt does. and since the flavour is soo concentrated u can use alot less when u cook.
i use add a bit of sea salt and baking soda to my bath. it helps soften the skin and exfoliate a bit.
Hi Beauty, I've taken Brown Sugar, mixed it with some olive oil and have made a great scrub with it. Is that the "Brown Sugar Scrub" you're referring to? Hugs, DE
Afro, suave 2 in 1 is probably loaded with sulfates (most shampoos are). Sulfates are basically a detergent and it could be irritating to your scalp. Also if you are using Lusters Pink Oil (i used to use that when i was growing up) that will give you dandruff big time because it contains mineral oil. Mineral oil basically suffocates your scalp. My advice to you if get rid of the suave and use something tea tree based to get rid of the dry scalp, and use some sort of natural oil in your hair. My boyfriend uses a product called bioinfusion olive oil. I hope this helps.
thnks! i wish certainly try ur suggestions. now whats the best place to get those products. ie can i find them at my local walmart, sally beauty or do i need to hit up el mercado africano?
Thanks for the suggestion I love the way sea salt makes my skin feel. Also the question about dry scalp, I washed my hair with vinegar and my shampoo, put the conditioner in with some jojoba oil and let it sit for about 10 and it worked. I agree with d-enigma with the lusters. I read that crushed up asprin in your shampoo helps as well, but um I don't know about all that my hair is very thick and curly I don't asprin stuck in there looking like dandruff or lint.

I've tasted sea salt before and its not to bad but a little different from table salt.
The "brown sugar" body scrub is the best. Have you tried it?
Hi Afro, What products do you use on your hair? I need to know that before I can suggest anything. Thanks for reading.
