NYC High Definition Mascara is the BUSINESS!
Drugstores are coming out with some major gems lately. Seriously! When I first got my hands on NYC High Definition Mascara, I was so excited to give it a whirl. Although I'll be honest since it's under $5 bucks, I wasn't really expecting too much. But, I should have known better. Famed makeup artist Sam Fine loves drugstore products so don't ever look down on drugstore items when getting your makeup. One of my favorite bronzers comes from NYC too. Anyway, let's talk about their new NYC High Definition Mascara. As you girls know, I always say the proof is in the pudding. Here's my naked eye:
The brush for this mascara looks pretty basic, which was another reason I wasn't expecting too much.

Now this mascara promises that it lengthens lashes up to 60% and lifts lashes by 70%. It also contains something called Duo Play Complex with Panthenol and Vitamin E to help strengthen and soften lashes. When it comes to mascaras, I'll all about the length. Although I wouldn't say it lengthened them by 70%, I will say that this mascara really did give me some serious length with very minimal clumping and for only $4.99, that's pretty sweet. Yesterday tears were coming out of my eyes due to the strong winds and this mascara lasted all day without smearing. For $4.99, I'm so sold!
This product's official release is in March. Although I have already seen it on the shelves of my local drugstore.
What are your thoughts?
Do you love Drugstore products too?
Hugs,
Milly

i do love drugstore brands! they have stepped up to the plate in a major way lately. l'oreal hip, NYX, nyc, milani....all have some really good products!
Oh yes I LOVE me my drugstore make-up too. Only on certain products will I splurge or treat myself to from high end brands.
Though I love NYC bronzers and powders, I tried their liquid liner and didn't love it too much. It was just ok and would always fade off, so I don't know if I'd go for their mascara. So far L'oreal and Maybelline have me sold on their mascara's for the prices.
im not one to pass up a good drugstore product. i mainly rely on blog reviews for deciding what to try. im not allowing myself to purchase any more mascara but i'll be giving this a try as soon as i get my next empty/ dry out.
I'm also not one for drugstore mascara but i will have to try this one, i have always steered to the high end brands but lately they have not impressed me much so i will have to try.
Drug store make up is fun, you never know what you'll find and there are great bargains. I also love shopping at Sephora for a chic experience and to feel pampered... besides, I love trying products!

Thanks for the review, I love NYC powders but didn't have much luck with the volumising mascara I tried from them (in a blue tube). This new one looks impressive though!
In general, I love drugstore products. I can't really afford to buy high end cosmetics (I'm in the UK and all the "good" stuff is so expensive) so most of my make-up is made up of drugstore brands. You can find some real gems though with a bit of research and testing!
I LOVE this mascara. I never would have tried it if it werent for my daughter picking it out, so glad she did because I was blown away by its awesomeness. So glad others agree!
I just tried the same mascara today and I'm obsessed with it. It's very similar to Benefits Th. Real mascara, except 100% better. :))
obsessed with it!
