Tips to Maintain Your Hair After a Workout & Weekend Updates & More

Hey loves, how was your weekend. Mine was pretty good. We'll talk more about it at the end of this post. Now, although my schedule is insane, one thing I always try to do is work out. Not only to keep me healthy, but I find working out keeps me SANE, keeps me motivated, and running allows me to get great ME time, as well as lifting my mood. But after a good workout, my hair can end up looking a little weighed down due to the sweat. Because I refuse to wash my hair more than twice a week, that could be a bit of a problem, here are some ways I maintain my hair sexy, after a workout

Before trying this product, I was never a huge fan of dry shampoos, but  I love this one post workout. It's called Coppola Keratin Complex Volumizing Dry Shampoo Lift Powder. Not only does it revive my hair back to it's sexy, but it also puts in some nourishing keratin back into my hair and leaves it feeling like silk.  I love this stuff, and after a good workout, I put it all over the hair, and then turn my blowdryer on cool,  just let it spread evenly through the hair. Lately I've been using it before my workouts as well.

2) I use something called a Dri-Sweat Headband  but not just  on my forehead, I also use it to tie my ponytail. I feel like it will absorb the sweat twice as well. You can get it for like 3 bucks at Walgreens.

It also comes in a head-cap and I know a few women in my old gym who swore by it to keep their hair great during a workout.  Here's the deets.

3) If you find yourself excessively sweating whether working out or just in general, start incoporating sage tea into your diet. (However consult with your doctor before taking any supplement.) Sage tea is supposed to help in  reducing sweat.

Alright hope this helps.

How was your weekend?

Did you do anything fun?

Mine was pretty relaxing. Saturday hubby and I went to brunch at one of our favorite restaurants Pastis. Thats hubby's hand digging in. I told him to wait until I took the picture! He's so greedy. lol

We then headed to see The Hangover 2.
Hilarious movie, not as good as the original, but still hysterically funny.

Monday we hung out by a pool, and just talked all day.

Yesterday I gave myself a manicure with this gorgeous color by Duri called Cupid Rule. It's such a gorgeous shade of peach  pink. I've gotten so many compliments on it. It was part of their Valentine collection, but I think it works so much better for the spring.

Yesterday I looked at little man and realized, wow, he's  not a baby anymore. In exactly 2 weeks, he'll be 1 years old.  I remember telling you I was pregnant. Time flies.

Oh by the way, winner of Kate Walsh's Boyfriend chosen by random.org is..Aubrey Laine.

Please contact me within 2 days or i'll have to give this to someone else.

How was your weekend girls?

Did you do anything fun?

Hugs,

Milly

PS: Coppola Keratin was provided for review. But let me tell you, this stuff WORKS!

I needed this post! I have fine hair so I find that I HAVE to wash my hair after a workout. That gets a little much when I workout several times a week. I'm going to try this product along with the band.

Thanks!

I have to try both of these products! Thanks for the info. My hair gets gross after working out and like you I won't wash it more than twice a week.
