Meet My new Favorite Mascara-Maybelline Lash Stiletto Voluptuous

 Photobucket

You guys know how much I love great drugstore beauty finds. Recently, I ventured to Walgreens to pick up something when I noticed that the new Maybelline Lash Stiletto Voluptuous was on sale for $5.99. (I believe the sale last till this Saturday so seriously run over there, I purchased 4 of these.) Beauty Guru Sam Fine told us that you no longer have to go to higher end stores to purchase mascara-and I so agree because let me tell you, this mascara has knocked the socks off of many of my higher-end ones.

The first Lash Stiletto was fantastic too, but this one is really amazing because not only does it increase the length but it gives you some serious volume.

The brush is pretty thin with medium bristles attached, nothing too crazy. But you know what they say; it’s the ones you never think would do it, that do it (well that’s what they say about men cheating, but lets apply that rule to this mascara).

Here’s my lashes before the mascara!

Enough said!

This mascara is currently on sale for $5.99 till Sat at Walgreens. Run and get it!

De's Loving LANCOME HYPNOSE MASCARA

Photobucket

I love mascaras and a few of my favorites come from Lancome. Their Defincils has been my staple for years. Recently, Lancome wanted to know what I thought of their Hypnose Mascara and as usual this doesn’t disappoint. The wand is not that thick, but the bristles are definitely long and there’s a lot of them so they can catch each and every one of my lashes. After I apply this (2 coats) my lashes are super thick and just huge with volume. I love that this does not clump and I’ve had this mascara for close to two months now. In short, I'm really loving this mascara. Apparently this is Khloe Kardashians fave mascara too.

Have you tried this mascara?

What were your thoughts?

What's your favorite mascara?

De's loving Urban Decay Eyelash Primer Potion

Photobucket

I recently got the chance to try Urban Decay’s Eyelash Primer Potion, and I’m telling you, this is a must have in every hot mama’s beauty arsenal. This product took a few of my ehhh mascaras to VaVa Voom! I’m loving that this is paraben free, and contains wheat proteins and silk to give my lashes some muscle. To truly experiment with the primer, I only used it on my right lashes, and didn’t use it on the other. After applying my mascara to the eye without it, my lashes looked pretty good. However, the eyelashes with it, looked so much longer, so full of volume, and just really different. No clumping at all, just beautiful. I haven’t been impressed with a product like this in some time, and it will be staying in my makeup bag for a while.

Have you tried Urban decay's Eyelash primer Potion?

Do you love it?

5 DRUGSTORE PRODUCTS THAT COULD BE SOLD IN SEPHORA

Drugstore products are no longer like they used to be. The quality has improved so much, and many of these products could be sold in high-end stores. So here’s our second installment of 5 drugstore products that could be sold in Sephora.

1) New Maybelline’s Superskin 24 hour Foundation
Photobucket

This foundation does really last 24 hours. How do I Know? One day after coming home from work, the last thing I was going to do was wash my makeup off. (I know, gross, but I worked 16 hours.) I woke up the next morning and it looked like I had just applied the foundation. My skin still looked flawless! My shade is caramel, an exact match to my skin. It’s gorgeous rich tan that doesn’t give me the fake made-up look, doesn’t leave my face greasy, doesn’t rub off on my clothes and just looks terrific. And it’s only $12.99

2) Milani 24 Hour Intense Eyeliner
Photobucket
I love this! It's claim, is that it last 24 hours. Does it? Sure does (I had this on that night I slept with my makeup on.) I use the blackest black and It applies like a dream and it doesn't smudge. DE loves this!

3) Maybelline Expert Wear Blush (New Formula) Potpourri
Photobucket

The first thing I noticed about this blush was how it looked a lot like my Nars Outlaw minus the shimmer. I applied Nars Outlaw to one cheek and this blush to another. On my face the colors were almost identical except Nars Outlaw contained more sparkles (and cost twenty bucks more.) The staying power of this was all day, and it left me with such a beautiful pink flush, I'm loving it and for $4.99 you should too.

4) Rimmel Glam Eyes Mascara

Photobucket
Up until recently I hadn’t even tried many Rimmel products, but lately I’m noticing how much I like them. I really love their Glam eyes mascara. It leaves my lashes incredibly long, and it didn’t clump even after I applied two coats. And it’s so affordable.

5) Sally Hansen InstaDri Polish

Photobucket

I’m currently wearing Sally Hansen’s polish in Violet Voom. A gorgeous shimmery purple color. But here’s the thing, I’ve been rocking it for three days and it hasn’t chipped yet. These colors last super long, the shades are fierce, and they are so affordable. The only tricky thing about this is the application The brush is pretty thick, but once you master it, you’re good to go!

5 Drugstore Products That Could Be Sold In Sephora

We’re starting something new here, 5 Drugstore products that are good enough to be sold in Sephora. There are so many treasures in the drugstore. My local Duane Reade knows to call me every time they get a new shipment of makeup/nail polishes. Yes that’s how crazy I am. So here are some products that I think are good enough to be sold in Sephora. I’ve actually mentioned some of these before, next week we’ll go with all new ones.

1) L’oreal Collagene Mascara-This mascara elongates and gives my lashes so much volume, it’s ridiculous. This actually works better than some brands I’ve tried from Sephora.
Photobucket
2) Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eyeliner This gives me the liquid look without that brush that I can never get right, and it last all day. No lie!
Photobucket

3) Carmindy Lip gloss in Sparkling Champagne-one of my absolute fave glosses. The color is such a gorgeous nude with specks of sparkle. Makes my lips look luscious, and passes the hair test. (Hair doesn’t stick to lips when wind blows.)
Photobucket

4) NYC Terracotta Tan-I’ve recommended this many times, and everyone has told me they loved this stuff. It’s inexpensive, provides an amazing glow, and it’s great for contouring as well.
Photobucket

5) Wet N Wild Belgian Chocolate Palette- Note, I haven't tried this myself, but I went out to this great Brazilian bar yesterday called Felix. I had so much fun! Anyway, my cousin came, and as soon as I saw her I told her that I loved her shadow. Just a gorgeous pigmented blend of browns. Towards the end of the night, I noticed her shadow still looked great (and we’d been dancing to Brazilian music all night.) When I asked her what she was using, she said Wet n Wild shadow in Belgian Chocolates. It looked beautiful and lasted all night even after dancing for hours.

What are some drugstore products that are good enough to be sold in Sephora?

L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara

Photobucket

I recently got the chance to try L’oreal’s new Telescopic Explosion Mascara. The wand which is round, is reminiscent of Givenchy’s phenomen eyes, which I’d heard great things about. I was super excited to try this new product. But unfortunately, this did not live up to expectations. The spherical brush was just not ideal for my lashes. It was way too small, and did not elongate much at all. The volume was non existent as well. Needless to say, DE’s not a fan.

Have you tried this stuff?

What were your thoughts?

L'OREAL EXTRA VOLUME COLLAGENE MASCARA

Photobucket

Lately, I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the amazing amount of quality products that are coming from my drugstore. I’m finding so many gems for such affordable priEces, it’s exciting! Yippee, My latest treasure is my L’oreal Extra Volume Collagen mascara. I’m sure you’ve seen the advertisements with Eva Longoria looking so gorgeus. Anyway, I recently got the chance to try this product and I was so pleasantly surprised. The results of this are fantastic, not only does this give my lashes amazing length, but a massive amount of volume as well. I can even reach those hard to reach inner corner lashes with this. After using, my lashes are thick, fabulous, and so lengthened, this will definitely be a staple in my collection.

Have you tried this product?

Do you love it?

SuperStar Lashes for an Affordable Price!

Times are hard for all of us. Shoot, I get it, believe me but the great thing is that beauty can be very affordable. Lately I find myself in Duane Reade browsing the beauty aisles a lot more and the great thing is they're so many new and wonderful products available. lol. I've been using this mascara for a while, and wanted to do a youtube on it. (I still might, just need my video camera.) but I wanted to let you guys know about it. Maybelline's Lash Stiletto has definitely replaced my Covergirl Lash Blast as my favorite drug store mascara.

Photobucket

I love the packaging of this, so sleek and sexy. The name is hot too "Lash Stiletto." The brush is very thin with long bristles, and I am talking about I get some amazing length and volume with this and it reaches my little itty bitty lashes on the side of my eye (the ones that I can never reach.)It is probably one of the best drugstore mascaras I've ever used and maybe it's just me, but this smells really good too.

Beauty doesn't have to cost and arm and a leg, and in these hard economic times, Thank Goodness for that!

What's your favorite drugstore beauty product?

Lancome Oscillation Mascara=Wow!

Photobucket

When I first heard about Lancome’s New Oscillating Mascara, you know I had to have it! Yesterday a few stores around the country were given the opportunity to sell it for one day only; the rest would have to wait until its official release in November. You know I was one of the first people lined up anxiously waiting to get my hands on this. And mamas, it was worth the wait! This is making me want to throw my staples Lancome L’extreme and Definils out of the window. The brush of this mascara looks incredibly average. It’s pretty skinny, not curved, or fat like many of my other mascaras, but when you press the button on the wand, the thing starts vibrating like there is no tomorrow. (Shoot, the way it was vibrating, I thought it was going to let me perform magic tricks.) I applied the mascara on one of my lashes without pressing the button, and they looked pretty good-a very similar result to my Defincils. HOWEVER, when I applied it to my other lash and pressed the button to make it vibrate, wooooh, the difference was pretty extraordinary. It tickled for some reason though when I was doing it (must have been the 7000 oscillations per minute). I did around 2 coats on my lashes but I didn't apply it the way I normally apply mascara. I just let it basically vibrate on them but without really moving my hand, (kind of hard to explain), and Holy Good Lord Mother of Jesus!!! My lashes looked out of this world long and ridiculously volumous, NO CLUMPING AT ALL. I went into the office, and got a slew of compliments on my lashes (two people even asked if i had falsies on). I loved it!!!!!!!

And guess what I want you to love it too. As you know by now Beautylogic loves giving away things, so I picked up two for two lucky readers. Send your name to BeautyLogicBlog@yahoo.com with the heading “DE, I NEED THAT LANCOME OSCILLATING MASCARA NOW.” Winners gets picked by mommy and announced Monday August, 4, 2008.

Things You Must Carry at All Times

When I go out with my friends to a lounge or event, I always like to carry a super chic cute small pochette. However, they all make fun of me because the fact of the matter is sometimes my "super chic cute small pochette" ends up looking like an overstuffed bag full of crap. (Many times I can barely zipper it). These are the six things that I must carry with me at all times, or I just can't function:

Mascara sweeties

Nothing opens up those eyes more. I have 6 favorites that I'll blog about later. But this is my classic one:

Lancome L'Extreme

Photobucket

When wearing this, I've been accused of having eyelash extensions-thats how much this mascare elongates and volumizes my lashes. HOWEVER (and some of you may disagree) I find that with the correct application of Covergirl Lash Blast, your lashes can look equally as fabulous (with a way less price-tag).

Blush

I have way too many to name, but these are the two that were in my bag last night.

Mineralogie Apricot Toast
Photobucket

This seriously makes me look as if I'm glowing.

My old favorite is:

The Mac Pink Swoon
Photobucket
Camera

I like to think of myself as The Dominican Sartorialist I take pictures of everything and everyone. You should see the pics I've taken in NY (maybe I'll start a new blog......nah). Here is a pic of one of my cameras:

Sony Camera

Photobucket

Chap Stick

I use a variety of them, but these are my old favorites.

Carmex with spf 15
Photobucket
or the classic Rosebud Lip Salve
Photobucket

Lip Gloss (I seriously have a lip gloss addiction)! I have way too many, but here are two that were with me last night.

Clinique Long Lasting LipWear with SPF15
Photobucket
Mac Ensign Lip Glass
Photobucket

Oil blotting Sheets
Clean & Clear Oil are my usual ones Yesterday in NY it was close to 100 degrees. I saw so many shiny and oily faces. A few times, I felt like passing New Yorkers some of these.
Photobucket

And of course, my Blackberry
Photobucket

Wait, shoooooot, I forgot one more thing. Ooh, maybe there are 7 things I must have.

My small Melange Apothecary concrete perfume of Tuberose. This smells so amazing.

Here's a pic of last night's overstuffed pochette.
